5.0 out of 5 stars I didn't expect a lot but I was pleasantly surprised

I purchased the body coverage perfector in Natural Radiance because I have horrible red and purple spots and bruising on my arms and legs. I also purchased the brush that is sold along with it. I learned that you need a decent brush to spread and buff out the product. So far, I have worn this on my arms and bottom part of my legs. It was very easy to put on my arms and buff it out, then I sprayed on some inexpensive setting spray that you can buy in Sephora, I waited about 10 minutes and then I got dressed and went out. I was pleasantly surprised at how natural it looked and it didn't come off until later in the day. I have no idea how it would do in the rain. It is much harder to brush onto my legs, it takes a long time and it is harder to get it all even, so I have to practice that. I am in my upper 60's and I have very thin skin that has awful red and purple marks on it, and they are hard to cover. For the darker marks, I put on dermablend corrector in the color Sand (30 N), you can just dab it on the really bad marks and then put Westmore body perfector over it. I do not like the dermablend product all over my arms, it looks fake and it is too heavy. That is why I bought the body perfector, it is lighter and looks far more natural. I'll see how this goes and maybe I'll continue to use it.

So, two weeks later I have been using this body coverage perfector in Natural Radiance and I have been tweaking my routine. First off, a lot of reviewers feel that it doesn't have enough coverage, and indeed it is called "natural radiance" for a reason, it is supposed to look natural on your skin and not cakey and weird looking. That's why I like it. What I have been doing is to first use a crayon like concealer such as Dermablend quick fix full coverage stick in beige or Minimalist in Bisque, it is thick like a crayon. These are expensive but my dermablend crayon has lasted well over a year and I still have a lot left, so these are used to just dab onto your darkest spots and then use the natural radiance, just put a small amount onto your brush, it has to be a good buffer brush to blend everything in. I don't use Dermablend or Minimalist crayons all over my legs or arms because they are too thick and look unnatural. This is why I like Natural Radiance because it looks like my skin, only better! You should play around with the color of your crayon, you don't want it to be too light or dark, and then play around with how much natural radiance you need to cover up dark spots and veins. I am in my upper 60's and have ugly dark red and purple spots all over my legs and arms and veins, and I know I will never be able to cover up all of these and I'm OK with that. Westmore Natural Radiance makes me look better, not perfect. Try it and see. I have no commercial interest in these products, I make no money from these reviews, so you can trust this 60 something year old women who wants to be able to go out in a nice dress without dreaded stockings!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product!

I have had a skin condition on my lower legs for more than 25 years. It is exacerbated by sun exposure, requiring me to wear long pants or otherwise cover it up. In the summer I have taken to wearing flesh-covered, knee-length compression stockings to hide my legs. These stockings are very hot in the Florida sun. They also draw attention from passer-bys wanting to know about my heart condition, stents, biopsies, diabetes, etc. Although, fortunately, I don't suffer from any of these conditions, it is obvious that the stockings draw unwanted attention.
My wife found this makeup covering in an on-line ad. I researched it and decided to try it. It is amazing! I love it!
There are about eight different skin tones to choose from. I bought a skin tone that closely matches my own. It covers incredibly well. I can add more after the first coat dries (about 10 minutes). I have even added a coat days after the first and it blends in perfectly. It is waterproof when dry and only comes off with baby oil. I have been able to walk around without the stockings and have even received compliments on my wonderful tan on my legs! The lesions left by my skin condition are totally covered and invisible! I love this product!
It comes delivered in a strong cardboard box to prevent damage. Inside are simple-to-use instructions, and another box with the tube inside.
I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to cover up any skin blemishes or other conditions.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works somewhat - updating review
Reviewed in the United States on July 6, 2024
Writing an update after I've tried a different way of applying. While this doesn't 100% hide/conceal my spider veins or bruises, it does help and gives my legs a more even color. The color matches me well and doesn't seem to appear orange in color. I've found that just taking a couple of gloves and applying it like a lotion in sections works better than trying to use a brush. I let it dry and then use a towel to "buff" off the excess as instructed. I just rub up and down my legs until I notice it stop coming off on the towel. As far as transferring onto clothes, I don't really notice a whole lot. Occasionally I might notice a little bit, but overall it doesn't seem to come off terribly. Increased to 4 stars instead of 2. While it's not perfect, it does make me feel better about how my legs look and I have thankfully found a way to apply that works better for me.

Not a fan of this stuff. While it somewhat covers my spider veins, it's not magical at covering them. The shade is fine. I applied the product as it instructs, but it continuously smudges off. Not to the point that the product completely comes off, but it definitely would leave residue on clothing or whatever my legs would come into contact with. As far as trying to take it completely off, it's very difficult to remove. Don't recommend.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice product, but color pulls orange
Reviewed in the United States on May 15, 2024
The pros: I like the product. The finish is pretty, it gives a lush, hydrated effect to the skin. The formula is good too, it definitely has staying power. Coverage is buildable. Transfer isn’t too bad when doing moderate activities. No major smell. You do feel it on the skin but not tacky.

Cons: The major change I would make as someone with light skin using it to add some color is the undertone. Golden radiance and natural radiance both pull orange when compared to my natural tan or even a spray tan or instant tan products. It would be nice to have options for more natural tan undertones that lean more brown or
ruddy. I do think this will be less of an issue for someone with a deep skin tone or someone buying very close to their existing shade as it’ll blend in.
