These are honed to be very sharp at the edges so be careful. They work beautifully as long as you don't press too hard like I did at first. I was used to my old brand. Nicked myself slightly so I learned a quick lesson. Grabs very fine facial hairs to larger splinters. These are the best tweezers I've ever had and I've had a lot over my 70 years.
