I've bought a different mirror from Mirrorvana also, & had to make a warranty claim toward the end of warranty period--I was impressed by the fact that a real person dealt with me, & rapidly made the situation right. Top-notch company. So when I needed a ginormous hand mirror, I came to Mirrorvana. This mirror is huge. It's perfect. Very lightweight, absolutely 100% perfect clarity, and big enough to get the job done. I have to do my own hairstyle for an out-of-town wedding; Mirrorvana's products come padded & boxed, so I'll just slip the box into my suitcase. Hubby will have the job of holding the mirror until my hairstyle's all done; oh, lucky him, but I'm excited that I'll be able to duplicate my at-home setup where I can see the back of my head. Great product.

I searched for awhile to get the perfect mirrors for my in-home salon. I am not professionally trained and do not have the amazing skills that real hairdressers have. I do not want to belittle any professionals when I say what I am going to say. I am creating a Salon in my office to do my husbands hair and any other family member that need their hair done and gain the trust to allow me to do it one day. I'm out of work and cutting my husband's hair is saving us $100.00 a month. My mom was a beautician (back then, that's what they called them) but she was a true hair stylist. We grew up watching her and she would coach us through cutting her hair and giving her perms and dye jobs, highlights, frosts, you name it. I used to go with her to work at the Salon on Saturdays and became an honorary shampoo girl working for tips. I thought it was cool and mostly refused the tips. I was having fun, that was tip enough, especially hearing all the grown up gossip and innuendos. Shocking and salacious stuff! It was like a daytime soap opera in there. I have been cutting my own hair, doing razor cuts, cross checking and getting much of the same results as going to my hair dresser for years now. My mother taught me that your equipment and care of it is everything. I bought excellent hair cutting equipment that was not cheap and have paid for it so quickly by the money I have saved. The mirrors you use are no exception. These are everything I hoped they would be. They are sleek with smooth curves and such a large area compared to other mirrors. Some mirrors you buy show up kind of wonky as if they were fun house mirrors. These are professional grade and great handles on them. They are perfect for the person in your chair to check their new DO out! This company also REALLY stands behind their product. The arrive to you truly protected and with a decal on the mirrors that say to call them directly if your mirror showed up with a flaw or shipping issue. AND DON'T WORRY, it is NOT a sticker that takes forever to remove leaving a sticky residue behind. It is like a colorform that is more like a film that is on the mirror due to static cling. You just pull it off as if it were never there. LOVE THEM! I WILL DEFINITELY ORDER MORE AND FOR GIFTS WHEN APPROPRIATE!

Beautiful, Lightweight Mirror - Better than anything at retail

If you're looking for a great hand mirror to do your hair, that you can easily stash in a drawer afterwards, this is it.
I use this every day to see the back of my head and fix my hair. I can't believe I hesitated to buy this. I'm so happy with it, I was motivated to write a review, which I rarely do.

The mirror is clear - no distortion - and very large so you can see everything easily. It's also lightweight. I used to grab my double-sided vanity mirror and use the regular side of that, but my current 10x/1x mirror is so heavy, it's awkward to hold up long enough to fix my hair. So I decided to get an old-fashioned hand mirror. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of attractive options out there, and they all have flat handles which can be tricky getting a firm grasp on once you've laid it down. This is the only mirror I found that has a round handle, making it easy to pick up and comfortable to hold, and it's very attractive. The picture of the black one made it look like the handle might be hollow, but it's not. It's sturdy without being too heavy to hold up for the time it takes to fix my hair. Also, the label is an easily removed "cling-on" piece of plastic, which informs you that if it arrives broken the seller will replace it.

I'm so glad I ordered this! If you're on the fence about it, I encourage you to get it. I think you'll be pleased. And no, I am not affiliated with the seller in anyway; I just finally found an answer to my daily dilemma and frustration over fumbling with a heavy mirror and I hope I have helped somebody else who has the same problem.

Just got this Mirrorvana mirror. It arrived well packed and it looks very nice. The mirror glass is clear with no faded or black spots. The main reason I got it was for the large size and yes, it’s even larger than an older vanity mirror we own. My only reservation is that it really is light weight; it doesn’t feel hefty and the handle is hollow. I’m sure this will be a positive feature once I have to hold it for very long.

This is a very sturdy hand mirror. Both sides are the same (saves me from always having to flip it anyway), it has a hole for hanging, and it's made well!
