Right after menopause, my nails became brittle. One nail in particular would split before it even got out of the nail bed.

This product suggests 3 applications per day, but I've only been doing it twice. And let me tell you, it has made a huge difference! Now that one split nail will grow out at least a quarter inch past the nail bed without splitting. I like my nails super short, so not sure how much longer it could grow.

I can't vouch for its performance with nail polish since I never wear it. But it's so nice to be able to use my fingernails without worrying they will split or break as much.

I like the scent (for some reason it reminds me of play-dough). Application is a little awkward, but it rubs into my hands nicely.

Highly recommend!

I have been trying to stop biting my nails my whole life - have tried every product out there, brush on hardeners, stick-on nails, pepper-tasting products ... without success. I started this based on another review and have been using it for 3 months with glorious success!! I was very diligent at first using it several times a day and then "fell off the wagon" - now I probably rub it in once a day or so. The smell and feel of it is extremely appealing (and I don't like most scents) - I feel like I'm really taking care of myself. And I FINALLY have really stopped biting my nails and have the hands I've been wanting, with nails! Whoohooo!! THANK YOU, Hard as Hoof!

It two fully cut down, grow and cut again for my nails to actually start to feel stronger. The pictures are after the second process of this.

I also use Nature’s Bounty hair, skin & nails (helps my nails grow faster), a buffing block, cuticle melter (with a cuticle pushing tool and clippers) as well as a small nail buffer and cuticle cutting tool for my full upkeep routine.

With this routine and the added cream, my nails definitely look and feel better. When I apply it, my nails are soft, have no ridges and shine like pearls. They are still a BIT bendy but I blame that on generally bad nail genes and they’re overall much stronger so I’m happy. I used to break/chip my nails doing laundry, making the bed and smaller silly stuff. I also go hard outside pulling weeds. But since I’ve been using this cream, that hasn’t happened yet. It’s genuinely working.

You do not need a lot. Don’t slather. Make sure to get under your nails beds if you can as well as the edges of your nails. Make sure to fully rub it in. And be patient! Your nails won’t get stronger over night. I apply atleast 2 times a day if not more because when I’m watching tv I like to keep my hands busy so I’ll just sit and apply it LOL. I also stopped filing my nails as I believe that was causing chips and tears (personally).

I included a photo of all the products I use along with this hand cream.

My fingernails were continuously tearing and splitting. So in desperation I tried this product, expecting very limited results. I diligently applied cream 2 and three times a day. It did take a little while but I started seeing some improvement in a couple of weeks. Now my nails are the strongest they have been in years! After using for 5 months I still apply twice a day. A couple of periods I missed applying for a few days and nails be come more fragile. I highly recommend this product.

I was not sure what to expect with a title which includes the word "hoof." This cream is lovely, smooth and velvety, and it only takes a tiny bit to work into my nails each night. I buff my nails and when they are clean, I rub this cream into the cuticle and nailbed. I can definitely see strengthening of the nail as it grows and I am pleased with this product. This was a good purchase.

I started using Nail+Aid that started my nails growing really fast, but I still had a problem with my nail splitting across right down in the flesh. I thought I would try Hard as Hoof on a whim because I had tried so many products that failed. This stuff actually works! Not a broken or split nail yet after maybe a week of using it. My actual nail feels thicker.

I have my hands in water very often and bite my nails. This really works! I was looking for a nail harder when shopping and came across this and decided to give it a try and glad I did. I don't even use it as often as recommended and saw a major difference in length and strength within 2 weeks of use. I will say it works more on the growing side vs the hardening side. I have problems with both so I will still use it. A little goes a LONG way as
well. I just use a tip across my fingertips. 100% recommend it

I purchased this in hopes to repair and get my toenails healthy again. It's getting close to colder weather season so I can hide my piggies while in repairing them at the same time. I get gel pedicures year-round and after removing the gel this last time, I found that at least half of my toenails were split down the middle. My two big toenails have dents in them from the nail drills they use to remove gel polish. That tool also burns the heck out of you if they shave it tool close, nail burn. I've been using this product for three weeks and it has softened up my cuticles. They don't look all dry. My toenails do not have that brittle dry look. As far as nail growth, that is going slow. Still the product smells amazing and is awesome.
