I was on the fence about this one because reviews are people either loving it or hating it. Having tried Cerave’s standard mineral SPF and *loathing* it due to dryness and an awful white cast, I didn’t have much hope. But wow! I was shocked at how easy it applied and how much more like a lotion it really feels like upon application. I don’t know if it’s having dry, thirsty, 40+ skin but this worked wonders and left my skin feeling dewy and moisturized with light coverage and a subtle glow. I’m one of the people that hated It’s cc cream because I felt like a freaking clown with orange paint all over my face. I found this to have the opposite effect and for someone that doesn’t really wear make up it is perfect. Still love my super goop mineral so might do half-and-half to experiment further. Love, love, love!

This product has more pigment in it than most foundations I've used. I've got melasma/hyperpigmentation that I've been battling for years so it's very crucial that I cover my hyperpigmented spots at all times. Same time, the shade difference between my darker and lighter parts of my face make it REALLY hard to find a good foundation. It either leaves my darker spots 'painted over' in a lighter color, or leaves the dreaded line at my jaw. So I have to use something with 'okay' coverage and some dewiness, in a color between my two contrasting skin shades.

To do this, I'd been using Drmtlgy Universal Tint Moisturizer which has SPF 46, but the coverage was lacking (and it's expensive). This was the perfect solution.* I start with Aveeno MaxGlow Hydrating Serum/Primer, then after that soaks in I apply this. After a couple of minutes, I go over my darker hyperpigmented spots with the Drmtlgy, which has a higher SPF and softer glow. Then some concealer under eyes and I'm good to go.

*Caveat - the reason this may work so well for me is likely just luck, in that the color sits between my dark and light spots and has a warm (peachy/golden) undertone. I can see how this would NOT work for someone with darker or lighter skin, or someone with a cool (pink) or neutral (olive) undertone. Or for folks who want to wear additional makeup/foundation over it.

After struggling to find an SPF that didn’t break me out (chemical sunscreens) and wasn’t a horrendous thick chalky white, I tried this one. The box arrived crushed, but the bottle was intact with no leaks. My skin tone is fair in winter and light on the verge of medium in the summer. This tinted SPF blended in well although it is a little thick and requires a bit of work to get it seamless. If you like a dewy finish, this one is for you. I prefer a natural to satin finish so I powder after with a translucent setting powder. It does remain a bit tacky if not set. As far as coverage goes, it’s a sheer to light coverage, but enough to cover the mild redness on my cheeks/forehead/chin area. I wish is came in different tints because this would probably look very chalky on darker skin tones. Overall, I’m happy with it so far and will probably repurchase if it doesn’t break me out. Package arrived quickly and other than the box being damaged, I have no issues.

I have been looking for a replacement for IT cosmetics cc cream, because it got too expensive, and this is the best thing I have found. Like that cc cream, this has mineral sunscreen and also a bit of coverage as well. The coverage with this is not as heavy, which I really like.

I was worried about trying this because I have fair skin (skin that gets a few freckles but will only slightly tan in the sun) and sometimes skin makeup looks orange on me if it’s not light enough, but this blends into my skin nicely. It gives just enough coverage. If I have a blemish or extra dark eye circles that day then I have to use a concealer too, but for a quick multitasker this is great.

I use this after applying Minimalist Marula oil moisturizer. They work really well together. So for the price of the moisturizer plus this sunscreen it’s way cheaper than buying my old cc cream. I plan to use this indefinitely.

I have melasma so my dermatologist recommended a sunscreen with iron oxide. This sunscreen goes on so smoothe and feels so light on my skin that it feels like I'm only wearing a moisturizer. I can never find a foundation that looks or feels right on my skin, but this sunscreen is tinted and blends perfectly with my skin tone (I am kind of med olive/latte colored) so I wear it instead of foundation with the benefits of hydration and skin protection. It does not have heavy coverage, but it definitely helps to blur and blend the look of my dark patches from malasma. It never feels greasy or chalky like some tinted sunscreens. I actually prefer this to the expensive tinted sunscreen I got from Sephora. I highly recommend.

Just to preface this is my first experience with tinted sunscreen.

1. I have pale & freckled skin so I was very paranoid about the orange hue. In natural lighting my face is slightly darker, but it’s so subtle I don’t mind. If this was foundation, might go down one shade just to be on the safe side. But depending on the brand, one shade down could be too pale.

2. My first time using this, I put it on in leu of moisturizer. It felt incredibly dry and matte (first pic), which surprised me since it’s Cerave. I looked it up on their website and it turns out this is supposed to go on *after* moisturizer. The second time felt much better and my skin looked more hydrated and dewy (second pic).

Pros: I enjoy this product because it’s not heavy and it combines two steps of my skincare routine—sunscreen and concealer.

Con: The design of the cap is surprisingly messy.

I love this product and I continue to buy this product when I run out. Of course we all need SPF for our face daily, but I really love the tinted color as it gives a light makeup coverage. I use this daily for just a light makeup coverage to look a little done up to run errands, drop off the kids at school,etc. when I don't do my regular full face of makeup/lazy days.
