- Amazon CustomerGreat Cameras, easy set upI've had blink cameras for years now. Their latest versions are cool and easy to set up. I just installed 2 ARC sets and the set of 5 NEW Blink cameras in 1 Arc in front of my home and one in the alley behind. Really cool Panoramic views. The update is coming for these and with it you'll see a single video instead of two separate ones. Theese are a vast improvement from the older Blink cameras. I replace 5 of my outdoor ones and moved the older ones to cover different areas where I didn't have cameras before. The ARC ones are picking up lots of wildlife around my house. The alley is like a freeway LOL Rabbits, Cats, Mice, and even a SKUNK!!!!
I Highly recommend this product ;) Great quality, Works flawlessly, Great Value, Easy to connect to an existing system.
I did get their membership as well. - Amazon CustomerAwesome wide-angle camera!Love this camera! Super easy to set up and the 180° view covers everything. Picture is super clear, even at night, and the motion alerts work great. Perfect for quick peace of mind around the house!
- Frank T.Inexpensive and works wellNot only is it a good inside camera that has a wide range of view it also serves as my doorbell and it's really loud so most people in the house except for my son in the basement LOL
- Glenda SternbergerModest improvement over predecessorIf you've owned and used the Blink Mini 2 you already know what to expect. They have all the same functionality as the Blink Mini 2 and seamlessly replace those lower resolution cameras if you have any. However, there's is a pro and a con.
Pro: Moderately increased resolution that allows you to zoom in a little bit while retaining the picture quality.
Con: Grainy picture in low light conditions without using IR.. This wasn't the case with the Blink Mini 2.
Overall, if you have any Blink Mini 2s and are considering upgrading them, I would say it depends on the area that your camera is covering, and whether or not you're covering an area too big or too far to use IR (for example the property or street in front of your house). In those cases the added resolution is nice for better identifying people and vehicles etc., but it's not a massive difference, and if you're relying on the street lights at night you'll notice a grainy picture in the areas that aren't well lit. If you're using existing Blink Mini 2s for an up close area, say within 15ft of the camera, I wouldn't bother upgrading those cameras.
The nice thing about these cameras is that they're EXACTLY the same size as their predecessor, so they will fit nicely in any mounts you've already bought for them. - Julie StackBest in home camerasI love being able to watch my dog when we are gone. Video quality is awesome. Easy to set up with my outdoor cameras.
- slava williamsBest cameras everIf you can get in on a deal, then it’s 100% worth it. Maaan 1080p to 2k is a game changer. The light is much brighter then old version. The speaker is better.
Honestly best security. My house is covered in this cameras no issues. Just make sure your internet is good . - Denise McDanielGreat camera, clear picture and soundEasy to set up and use
- Daniel SGood basic camera for peace of mind.Decent camera with a lot of cool features at a reasonable price...especially if its on sale. I purchased it to keep an eye on my small apartment while I'm out of town, as my neighborhood isn't exactly known for safety, peace and quiet
It seems a little less bulky than a ring indoor camera, and is certainly a little less conspicuous than the indoor ring cameras I've seen. The setup was incredibly easy, even for someone like me who is not tech savvy for someone my age.
The camera quality isn't jaw-dropping but it is absolutely sufficient for its purpose. Same goes for the audio. There is a blue light indicator that shows when the camera is runing that can be disabled if you prefer. The motion detector works well. The unit also features an LED light and a speaker to comunicate remotely with anyone in the presence of the unit.
A subscription is not required but is definitely recommended in order to use some of the best features. They provide you with a free 60day trial and after, that the basic paid plan is listed as a reasonable $40 (I am only at the 8th day of my trial). The free plan will not allow you to record and save their cloud, which is pretty important if you are unable to check your phone at the moment the motion detector is triggered. However they do sell storage units to store locally, but to me the subscription seems to be the better option. The paid plan also has some little additional features that I will probably not use.
I am pretty happy with this purchase and even have more on the way from amazon.
