- Alison SThis Generation Kindle is (by far) the Best Kindle I've OwnedOver the years, I've owned several Kindle Paperwhites - all different generations. This newest generation is a superior reading experience. Charging is so simple now that it is compatible with the same charger as my cell phone - no need for additional wires by the bedside or when traveling. The battery is impressively long-lasting. The biggest upgrade, in my opinion, is the speed. This version downloads books in a flash - I didn't realize how much slower my older generation Kindle was until I compared. Everything is faster - the page-turning, the Wifi/Bluetooth connection, the access to the store. The screen feel larger than previous models - like there is more screen, less frame in the same size. I also took advantage of the trade-in program for the first time, and I have to say I was incredibly happy with the process and the provided discount. All-in-all a great product.

- Tea41The material edges are coming apart and fraying along every edge aftr 10 months use.Material is fraying along the front edges after 10 months. Love the color, light weight, texture of material, secure fit of the new Kindle Paperwhite in the cover, and the soft inside that protects the screen. I read books on Kindle every day. I carry the Kindle in different purses, but it is usually in my hand or sitting on a table in the house, so it is surprising that the edges of the front cover are fraying so quickly. The top and the back bottom side (bordered by plastic) are also starting to fray. I do not think I would buy it again, but will see if I can find a more durable cover.
- GrizzitLove My KindleThe battery on my 7-8 year old Kindle was getting tired, so I decided to finally replace it with a newer, larger model. I love the Kindle and have been a user since they first came out. I read about an hour a day and also travel with it, so it gets stuffed in my backpack a lot. Though I always use a case of some sort.
- The larger screen is really nice, to me it was worth a few extra bucks.
- I use Libby with my Library Card and can borrow books for free. Awesomeness.
- Didn't think I'd noticed the increased resolution, but the finer resolution, contrast, and tinting makes reading really similar to a book. If fact, I read a real life paper book last month and found the Kindle more comfortable.
- Battery life is loooong. I can spend all day in the airport or on a train and not worry about running low. I'm on week 2 of daily use and still at only 50%.
All in all, I'm very happy with the Kindle and the price.
Note: I splurged on the official Kindle cover-case, which is top notch and provides needed protection for traveling. It's super slim and fits like a glove. And it's kinda cool that the Kindle turns on/off when you open/close it. A little extra money than my older cheap case, but money well spent. - RachieShockingly goodAmazon's own Kindle cases are notoriously terrible, but this is the one outlier we've found.
Looks expensive, is light but protective, fun to grip and hold, and closes perfectly.
Definitely recommend this for the Kindle.
