- SmiveyThe Best, So FarI used to have a Ring camera, which was fine. It gave us the minimal coverage we needed, and a convenient archive—as long as you subscribed.
Not only is this camera superior when it comes to picture clarity, it has AI features, like package detection, which put it in an entirely different category. The package detection not only notifies you when a package is left at your door, it will highlight it on the camera view to show you what it has identified as a package.
Another great feature of the Eufy system is the ability of the compatible cameras to talk to one another (with the use of the hub). Using AI to recognize the same person in multiple cameras, the system stitches the videos together, so you can watch the path of the person—without switching from one camera recording to the next. Really smart.
Overall, it's a great product. Would be nice if there were more 3rd-party accessories of for it, like the Ring camera. But other than that, I think it's a much better choice. - Chris G TaylorNo subscriptionAll of my cameras are Eufy. No subscription. Easy to view live or when something triggers it to record. The doorbell one has a package alert. Occasionally I will get notice of a package being dropped off and then picked up but when I watch the video there is nothing being dropped off or picked up. Kind of spooky. But all-in-all I think these are great.

- Aaron DutsonEufy lies about their warranty (spoiler, it’s not 12 months like you’re told)Eufy (Anker) has the worst customer service I’ve ever had the displeasure to interact with. When my doorbell stopped connecting to the Homebase following an update, I had to deal with their terrible AI Assistant. You cannot chat or even call a human being, both options are run by an AI that tells you to restart the camera, and if that doesn’t work says they can’t help you and to buy a new one. I cannot manage to get through to anyone to fulfill this camera’s warranty.
Edit: According to Eufy’s website, this doorbell camera has a 12 month warranty, but when trying to claim that warranty they say that actually it’s only 3 months. I just received the following email:
