- jessicaerinnnUnverified Unknown BatteryRecieved my iphone 15 pro today from "2ndphoneclub" listed as the seller for this item, and after transferring my data over wifi, and transferring my service with Cricket I got an unknown battery warning. "A refurbished iPhone 15 with an unknown battery warning indicates a non-genuine, previously used, or improperly installed battery. This is a common message when a third-party part is used, and it doesn't necessarily mean the battery is defective, but it could lead to inaccurate battery health information and potential performance issues or safety concerns. (Which the battery health was listed as Normal and at 86% in the packaging, after a few hours it now says Unverified and 87% max capacity??) To understand the exact problem, check Settings > General > About for a "Parts and Service History" section, and you can see the battery's date of first use and capacity in Settings > Battery > Battery Health.
What "unknown part" means
The battery was replaced with a non-genuine part.

So I'll see how the battery does but it's already restarted a couple times and gone from 80% to 1%. BEWAREEE!!!! I will see if Best Buy can switch out to a "genuine" battery or if this will be a return. - Amazon CustomerBattery Life not RenewedMy Wife did all the reviewing of the iPhones that came after the iPhone 12 that she had at the time, and the iPhone 15 Pro does not disappoint. The phone is a quality phone, and I guess I did not read the information about the battery not being new, so I was disappointed when I saw that it only had an 85% battery life at 2 years old and my Wife's iPhone 12 was at 86% and it was 5 years old. The phone had one small scratch on the back but we put a case on the phone so that was not an issue. The glass front is high quality and did not have a mark on it. We had issues with transferring everything from the old phone to the new phone and took the phone to the Apple Store who took care of the functionality issues which is a big plus for not so tech Savy phone users and even though you have to make an appointment at the Apple Store they are happy to help you with any Apple product that you own so that you can understand how to use the product. The store is 60 miles away, but we were able to get all the information transferred from the old iPhone to the new iPhone. The only issue that I had other than the battery life for this purchase was the fact that the USB and the plug were not for an iPhone and we had to rush to get one in order to charge the phone to then be able to connect it with our phone provider. I have to say that I may have sent the phone back, but it was a gift to my Wife for her Birthday, and she fell in love with it issues and all. As for the Value for the money it was a lot of money for us still to spend so I am still on the fence because they could have put a new battery in at almost no cast to them but if we want to replace the battery it will cost over $100.00. So, if I could make the suggestion that they could have just added their cost for a new battery and the phone would have not gone up in price to the customer very much to make it a deal breaker and they would have a higher volume of people being really happy with the quality of the phone (s) that they are saying are (Renewed). Renewed to the consumer means "Like New" but used.
- Toria GahringGreat Quality!!I was very skeptical ordering a newer phone from Amazon but I am very happy with my purchase! I upgraded from an iPhone XS to the 15 pro. I have had my new iPhone for about 2 months now and I couldn’t be happier! It operates great and I haven’t had any issues. The battery holds up well! Of course with excessive use I have to charge my phone at least once during the day otherwise the battery lasts all day. I am very happy with the size, color, and feel of the phone. It was super easy to transfer all my data to the new phone and didn’t take long at all. The phone is lighter than I thought it would be and love the titanium! I did get a screen protector that didn’t fit well at all but I tried a different brand and the second screen protector actually fit. I was worried the screen on the phone was messed up but it was the screen protector and not the phone. Syncing my new iPhone with all my other devices was extremely easy. I highly recommend buying from this store!
