- Wenjun YUGoogle's customer service agents have no clue what I'm talking about.I have a 2-pipe Trane branded fan coil unit which is pretty common in NYC apartment. Google's customer service agents have no clue what I'm talking about and cannot give me a straight answer on whether it works or not. After digging through lots of diagrams and documents, I finally figured it out myself. Not only does it work with my system, it is actually compatible with the multi-speed fan system. Also, by re-programming Trane's control board, I was able to lower the overall 3-speed fan system by 25%, which makes the lowest fan speed almost completely inaudible. Perfect for night time cooling/heating now since the previous lowest fan is still too powerful and loud.
