- Let’s ShopGreat ProductI received this camera as part of my security system, and I was so impressed with its performance that I decided to purchase additional units for every room in my home. Eufy consistently delivers quality products, but this camera stands out as an excellent value for the features it offers. I use it as a live stream monitor for my pet when I'm away, and I love that I can receive notifications for any movement. The ability to communicate with my furry friend through the camera is a fantastic feature. Additionally, the remote movement functionality works seamlessly with the Eufy app, making it incredibly user-friendly. Initial setup can be a tad tricky but once setup you never have to do it again.
- BunnyPurchased renewedThis is my first time purchasing from the Amazon renewed store and so far so good. Only thing I was a bit skeptical about was when I saw the packaging it did appear a little less taken care then what I am use to with Amazon BUT I am very happy and great full for this item. I needed a device that has the 24/7 continuous recording feature. This little camera is very useful. I own a EUFY doorbell camera also purchased from Amazon for almost three years now and it’s always worked very well. The mini was very easy to connect to wifi and the app. I have it sitting on the window to over look our vehicles. The quality for 2k is pretty good! It’s better than my doorbell camera quality which is also 2k. I turned off night vision and have it on regular vision during the night and it’s a really good image. The 24/7 recording is for 12 days which is great for me, notifications are very quick and it has great play back with different speed modes. Motion sensor is great since it’s behind a glass window it still pick up motion. There are quite bit more awesome features with this mini that I love such as sound detection, 360 view, being able to tilt and move the cam, turn on and off motion tracker, siren etc. my outlet is very close to the window where I have this installed so I have no issue there. If you need a longer cord then you may need to get one which is easy in my opinion given that the input is quite a universal one. Great price and great products ????????
- June BrookshireRelatively easy to setup and moderate cost. Seems reliable so far. These are great. I have two now, and I really like being able to see my house inside when not at home. Also have one pointed out the garage window to see who is on my yard. My son set them up for me. I don't subscribe to cloud storage but I may do that later.
- Robin D TownsCute unit, can't connect to 5GI disliked the fact that it will not connect with 5G network. It keeps saying it cannot connect, this should be clear in the specifications.
- IMDamaged box and missing screws, GARBAGE AII haven't decided yet if I'll return this. So far the camera seems to work well (I forgot to get the SD card so can't speak to all features yet). It was missing 2 screws and the box was damaged but it seems fine otherwise. I'm going to see if I have screws to replace them and see how it works with the SD card and then I may edit this review
Edit: make sure you get an SD card that is 128gb or less! It won't support any higher.
It is working well enough for me but it's not the greatest. Connecting to the wifi can be obnoxious. It said the connection was successful but the app made it look like it was still trying to connect so I went through the routine a few times before realizing I just had to close the app and reopen it and see it was working just fine.
It detects motion really, really well (it catches even the shadow of my neighbor outside my window, one floor down and across the street) but the AI that determines whether something is human really needs some work. I don't specifically need that since it picks up motion regardless, but if that's a feature you want then don't get your hopes up. It thinks a stack of boxes is human as well as a little shelf I have. They are not even remotely human-shaped. It does register me as human but it's weird that it's labeling these objects human too.
[New Edit: the AI is absolutely hot garbage. It is so terrible. I'm so tired of this stupid thing and I regret buying it. I moved and in my new home it goes off every 2 minutes to tell me there's a human in my home and it's always a chair. Always the same chair that looks nothing like a person and never moves. But the shitty AI thinks it's a person. Im just waiting to replace this awful camera. If you could turn off the AI it would be fine but this thing is so ridiculously expensive for a piece of junk that never stops telling me someone is in my house and it's always the same damn chair]
I like having the local storage though. I've had a ring for a long time and then I learned how ring will share your data without telling you and I got this to see if I want to switch to eufy. I think I will.
I do have to say that setting the "action zones" absolutely sucks. On ring, I can easily adjust the zones but eufy doesn't want to accept the shape I'm going for. I tried to set it to watch the whole room except for my ceiling fan and the whole zone will move instead of just the dot you're trying to adjust. Then the dot won't stay where you place it. I've got it set near perfect but there's one corner of the room that it doesn't quite reach. It's close enough I'm not worried but it was frustrating and took a long time to get it good enough. And I'm on the young end of millenials so this sort of thing is normally easy for me. It couldn't be simpler on ring's app.
Disclaimer: I haven't used the motion tracking at all. I have it set to one position because it captures the entire room and based on other reviews, I don't want the motion tracking to mess up and miss something important.
In summary: I'm satisfied enough with it but it does have some frustration points. Once it is set up, it does the job but the AI thinks random objects are human and setup can be a pain. If you can get through the setup experience, I think its worth it to not have a monthly subscription and use local storage instead of data that can be shared without your knowledge.
[New Edit: it's not worth it. The AI ruins the entire point of having a camera because when you're always notified every 2 minutes then you have no choice but to ignore or turn off notifications and then you wont know if there is actually someone in your home. I hate this thing so much and I'm never buying eufy again. I was going to invest in their outdoor cameras if this hadn't been such a massive waste of money but now I know there's no point because their AI makes their cameras useless. I just wanted motion notifications. I didn't need the camera to tell me if the motion was from a human or not because I can check that myself but nothing even moves and it still says someone's in my house because of a CHAIR] - Gregory FranklinGood cameraAffordable
