Top reviews from the United States
- MarkHammer time.I’m glad I went with the refurbished hammer drill. I saved money and the hammer looks as new. The only give away to it being used was the inside of the case was scuffed up some. The drill itself was in as new condition. It worked perfectly for the whole morning I used it removing a large brick planter. It had no problem breaking the mortar and hammering thru the bricks when necessary.
I will be using it to chip out concrete in order to re- pour a section and will update the review if needed, but I’m sure it will perform very well.
This has made me rethink my opinion of reconditioned tools. I will most assuredly be buying more of them from Bosch. - MICHAEL BRANSTETTERFantastic roto-hanner!I had a small remodel project coming up that would require some concrete drilling. The project also required demolishing a fake stone/mortar facade, maybe 50 s/f. I often rent for a one day job, but this looked to be several days over a couple weeks. Buying seemed the only option. I considered one of the many odd-named imported models found on the internet, many under $100. When weight was listed (rarely) they were listing over 13 #'s. When I saw the Bosch RH328VC reconditioned for $169, I had to give it a look. When I saw 7.7 #'s I was amazed. It was only rate at 8 amps but had a clutch, reverse, and bit positioning. The odd-named models did not. After I read the reviews, I bought the reconditioned Bosch. I came is a nice heavy duty plastic case and all the listed items.
What a great decision. Plenty of power for the masonry demolition. It actually felt nimble. No bits were supplied, but a separately purchased (from Amazon) Bosch Viper spade bit quickly separated the stone from the chicken-wire/mortar mesh. The Bosch wasn't much use getting the wire off the backing, but easily broke up the mortar enough to access the nails for relatively easy removal. The 7.7 #'s really came in handy working head high and above. What I imagined was a 2 day job turned into 2-3 hours.
I haven't tried drilling into the old foundation yet, but I am sure I will have NO trouble with a half-dozen 5/8" x 6'" holes, using a quality bit. This one's a keeper. - Weekend WoodworkerDrills small holes in concrete like butterSo far have used this for drilling Tapcons into concrete. Drills into concrete like it is butter. The Bosch bits are a must have as well.
- Corey WattsMissing Drill Depth RodWorks great. Just came missing the drill depth rod. If Bosch sends me the rod, I'll upgrade to 5 stars, as the product works great and meets all of my other expectations.
- TylerGreat price on a rock solid toolVery happy with my purchase. It arrived with all the accessories and looked like new. The thing is a beast and I can't believe I waited all this time to purchase a hammer drill this capable. Chews through concrete, brick, tile like butter.
- Becky at the beachHammer only function makes this great for removing tilesThis drill was in great shape. It looked new and works great. We are taking out about 900 sq foot of ceramic tile that would cost a lot if we had the flooring people do this.
The drill is getting used a lot with no issues.
The drill had a hammer only setting, so it doesn't spin if you don't want it too. We have the chisel and thin set remover and this is going great guns. it's easy enough even I can use it! It's loud and the cord is a little short, but we use an extension cord with no problem. The tools are very easy to switch out. - carefulShopperGreat work horse at modist priceIs compact a powerful hammer chisel is the right shape and easy to maneuver. Used it to remove old wood flooring glue to cement. A careful selection of the right chisels was also important to helping this hammer do its job well. Can't go wrong with his purchase.
bottom line: earns five stars. Save thousands doing it myself. - CM ChuteLike-new, worked greatI ordered this from CPO after reading other reviews about how these power tools were great deals, and in most cases arrived in like-new condition. I received mine earlier than expected, and upon opening the box was surprised to see not only was the unit in like-new condition cosmetically (save for the 'R' stamped into the handle indicating it to be refurbrished), but the depth gauge, instructions, and even the little tube of grease you use on the bits were all included in the factory case!
I'm an intermediate DIYer, and needed this to secure a 4x4 standoff base/post to a concrete floor to stabilize some old stairs. This rotary hammer chewed through the concrete very quickly. Very happy with CPO and this product and will buy from these guys again.
