- Annie HopkinsMy honest opinionGreat little washer. Small but mighty. Our old washer broke so I bought this as we live in an apartment with no washer dryer hookup. It works great! It doesn't make any noise when draining! The spinner works well, depending on the fabric and the amount of clothes you put in there it makes things almost dry completely! Takes so much water out of it. I didn't see anyone mention this so I think I should. Contrary to our previous washer the drain hose on this HAS to be level with the bottom of the washer/floor to use. I saw people put theirs in the bathtub and that's exactly what I did too. I was so scared the drain didn't work. It does! I had to have help carrying it up the stairs to get it to my apartment but once it was out of the box, easy to move. It's decently light. It also shipped SO FAST! For free shipping especially. I ordered it yesterday and it came this morning! Got here in 24 hours! I live in New York and it came from Jersey. May vary by state. But 10/10, I definitely love this washer. Saves trips to the laundromat
- Maine GalBest Possible Choice ????Tired of spending crazy money at the laundromat while at the family cabin for 6 months/year, or filling up my car with dirty laundry when I have to go home periodically, I decided to try out this portable washer/spinner. So glad I did!! In the few weeks I've been using it, it has paid for itself. Honestly I like it better than my big machine at home. It's fun and easy to use, gets my clothes cleaner and fresher smelling in a much shorter time, uses less water/energy/soap as well. I have elderly dogs and use "dog towels" which need frequent washing. I can bring less clothing to the cabin as I can run a small load anytime. I purchased a drying rack from Amazon a few years ago. I set it up on a sunny deck and after spinning (w/no wrinkles like in my big machine at home) items dry in about an hour. I use my new washer in an old tub (see pic). A small hose attached to tub faucet fills, and it drains into tub drain w/attached drain hose, works perfectly. I didn't need to raise up the machine (which is nearly impossible anyway) and yes a little water gets under machine when draining, but it is definitely not an issue. I love this little machine. It saves hours and many dollars at the laundromat. I have a few tips: dont use too much soap, use liquid as the pods are gonna be too much soap for any load that fits, ,and while you can rinse on the wash side after washing and draining, just filling up again w/fresh water, I have found that using minimal soap, sufficient water and not too many items per load, AND adding a little liquid water softener right in w/the soap during the wash cycle, cleans and softens without the need of rinsing at all..as long as items aren't excessively dirty. If you are careful with the lint holder, empty after each load, let it dry and carefully snap it back in, it will last and function well. I leave the tops open to dry machine after using. Press the vented plastic piece onto the wet clothes on spinner side and it takes about a minute to spin water out. I recommend not overloading either side. It's just me and my dogs. This is not designed for use by a large family, maybe just as a backup. All said, it's an amazing little machine and I believe I chose the best one at the best price!
- Danny D.This cleans better than my washing machine it replacedAfter my washing machine broke, I looked into both repair and replacement. I did one load by hand in the tub. It was worth a try. I got to feel like someone who lived in the world before all these electronics, but skip that on a regular basis.
I figured I'd give this a try. The cost of a washing machine was way too much. The same with repair.
The first time I used this, I noticed it actually did a better job than my washing machine. I'm only guessing here, but it's because there's no beater bar. So while you drop the clothes in from the top, it kind of give front loader washing action.
It's light. Easy to set up. I just fill it with my shower hose. The hose they provide looks like it could be dicey if ya had to use the sink. If ya don't have a shower hose, using a bucket to fill it would probably be easier.
Anyway, it also spin dries better than my washing machine. In addition to my washing machine clunking out, my dryer is also very old and on its last legs. My dryer dries clothes from this in one cycle. With my washing machine it needed two.
This gets my clothes dry enough that when my dryer does finally go, I'm just getting a drying rack to hang my clothes.
The only down side is the size. I do miss being able to do one load every 2 weeks. Yea, I mix clothes, towels, sheets, etc all in one load.
If I stay on top of things and do a load every 4-5 days or so, it's fine. If I wait until I run out of socks and underwear, it seems like it's a LOT of laundry. Then it becomes doing 3 loads, without including towels or sheets. Saying that in a way it's on me to stay disciplined. I'm not blaming this beauty of a machine any with the above statement.
Another thing this would be good for is truck drivers. I used to be an over the road driver. Rather than using a laundry mat, have this in your truck. Get a hotel every week or so and use this. Make sure ya have a drying rack too.
