- mkspExcellent CooktopThis cooktop is reliable, efficient, and money saving. My favorite feature is how quickly it heats up and stops cooking when it is turned off! The built in timer is a life saver--I don't have to hover over the pan to remove it from the heat source.
- TS michiganNice cooktopHave had this for a couple weeks now and it's been working very well.
What I like: 1. The 5° Temp increments help alot to get sauce to simmer.
2. The on/off switch great so don't have to keep unplugging.
3. You can change the default on temperature, I set mine at 175° F then just kick it up from there.
4. You can lift the pan and it will pause for 1 minute and shut off. Set the pan back down before minute is up and it will continue cooking.
5. Time remaining and Temp are on the same display.
6. Stays much cooler around the bottom edges of the pan unlike traditional cooktops where heat is blasting out the sides.
7. The glass top is easy to clean.
8. Having control of the watts is nice it can use less electricity if hooked up to a outlet that is running other things you can lower the wattage and not trip the breaker, or used on a smaller battery power station for camping.
Here is some temperatures I found that work well.
Scrambled eggs 260° F
Eggs O/med. 275°- 300° F
Grilled cheese 260° F
Caramelize onions 260° F
Simmer 165° F
If you long press the medium high button it changes from Celsius to Fahrenheit so be careful about that you don't want to do that and not know it because if you're set at 100° in Celsius it will be 212° and you will be boiling instead of warming.
If you put a pan on one of these with no food in it just to get the pan warmed up start at 100° because without food in there the unit will heat the pan close to 200° F and then it will slowly start coming back down again to close to 100° F or 125° F just a FYI.
There's no perfect world but in my opinion these provide a better cooking experience and are much safer so I would recommend to anyone.
Also these units will shut off after 2 hours unless you add more time and also you could just change the time to 10 minutes or 15 minutes if you want and it will just shut off by itself which I believe makes them much safer than a standard cooktop for a lot of people living alone or an apartment where somebody might fall asleep I think these are much safer choice to have, anyway have fun cooking out there and I'll give an update if anything changes in my review good luck to all - SleepyheadHappy with this purchase.Couldn't be happier with this. It's my second induction cooktop, but far better than my first. It's quieter and has a better display than the Duxtop I bought a few years ago. I've used it to slow cook in a Dutch oven, so it's durable/sturdy enough to handle that, and the temperature control was good enough that nothing burnt to the bottom. The display has all the details you could want, making it easy to use and leaving out guess work. The working surface and displays all being glass makes it clean up easily. Been using it practically daily for a few months and still looks brand new. Highly recommended if you're looking for a cooktop with good temp control, totally worth the price.

I mainly purchased to cook single pot items rather than getting grease and other splatter all over the surface of my new glass top range. This induction cooktop is amazing, and I would highly recommend it.

- M. ElizabethVery versatile kitchen applianceThis is a great addition to anyone’s kitchen. I had one for many years but the buttons wore out. It is so handy and fast for heating water for tea. Making eggs is a breeze with it, too. I know exactly what temperature to set for scrambled eggs. Over the holidays, an extra burner is really handy to have for buffets. There are so many recipes that I use this Induction Cooktop for that it is hard to name them all.

And hopefully it lasts just as long and gives me just as much usage and satisfaction
It's very safe compared to cooking with gas and I love using the timer so I don't overcook or forget food on the stove. I feel it's much safer for me.
