- Alice BashamIt worksWorks great.
- Candace J. MoultonWorks well, priced wellMet my expectations, so far. I bought it because it has a timer, so I won't burn my house down when I boil eggs or other things. Sure did come to a boil quickly, like 4 minutes.
- Apple LoverGood induction cooktopUsed the cooktop for a few days now, and love it! It heats up quickly and easy to clean. Good value for money and works well. So far so good!
- Nuvia CatalaHornilla eléctricaMe gustó mucho, se ve buena.
- KaterinaPowerful and convenient portable cooktopThis induction cooktop heats up very quickly and boils water faster than my regular stove. The controls are intuitive, and I appreciate the precise temperature adjustment for simmering or searing. The surface is easy to wipe clean after cooking, which keeps maintenance simple. Overall, it’s a reliable and efficient portable cooktop that works exactly as expected.
- jasoninswtMakes buzzing noiseWorks well but the buzzing sound it makes is almost unbearable. I can cook with it but I bought it for my kids to use because it's safer than our gas stove, but they don't want to use is because of the high pitched buzzing sound it makes.
Update: The buzzing went away after 4 uses so maybe there's a "break in" period. I'll provide another update if the buzzing comes back. I revised to 4 stars as well. - Pastor BCompact, Neat, Fast, Lots of ChoicesI like induction cooking and am almost always on the lookout for another useful countertop burner. So when I saw this induction cooker and saw the features that it had, I ordered it. It has nine power levels from 100 Watts to 1,800 Watts (you might trip your circuit if you have a 15-amp circuit on the line you’ve plugged this into, but only if you crank it up to the highest power – and maybe not even then). You can use a cooktop like this for all sorts of things, but the main reason I ordered this was because my wife loves fish and shrimp (lobster, too), and I don’t. With this cooktop she can do all of her seafood boiling and frying out on our porch and keep the cooking odors out there. Great!
Once you plug this in (it uses a polarized cord, so there’s only one way to plug it into your outlets), the cooktop will beep and the power indicator light will light up. The default way this opens with shows the “P” level (P1-P9, showing power levels from 100W to 1,800W). You can easily select the power level with a plus or minus key on the flat top of the burner. You can also switch from the “P” option to the option of setting the cooktops temperature (from 140 degrees F to 460 degrees F). I wondered what temperature I should set the cooktop at to cook a hamburger. I looked it up on the internet and it told me (it even told the initial temperature to sear the meat and a lower temperature to finish the cooking). I’m sure you can do the same. I prefer the temperature reading as opposed to the power readings, but you might not.
You’ll need to use a pan that a magnet will stick to. That’s how induction countertops work. So, check out your favorite pots and pans first before you order this. The first time I turned this on and set my frying pan on it I learned something neat. I had set the pan not quite over the center of the cooking area. The induction cooker started making noise rather louder than I thought would be acceptable, but then I noticed that the pan was slowly moving to the center of the cooking area. The magnetic/electric field of the cooktop was pulling the pan into the exactly correct space! Once it was there the noise stopped and the cooking proceeded quietly. Pretty neat! You’re ensured to get your pot or pan right where it is supposed to be!
I appreciate the quality of the build of this product. The electrical cord is very heavy, and it uses copper for the wires instead of iron (I used a strong magnet to test this, and it didn’t stick, so I think that’s true). The directions say that you can use an extension cord if needed, but to make sure that it’s a heavy enough extension cord to carry the current. It has four rubberized pads on the bottom of the cooktop to allow ventilation under the body of the cooktop, and the top is one smooth sheet of glass (with the controls right on that part of the top surface that is nearest to you).
Paper directions are included, and while you get occasional hints that they weren’t written by a native English writer, they certainly are very clear and detailed. I appreciate all of the warnings mentioned about keeping your children safe while using this. I have a grandchild who loves to find out what is on top of the counter by pulling whatever they can reach off onto the floor! There are also detailed directions on how to use the cooktop and what to do when it isn’t working. It has a 24-month warranty, which is a good thing, as that means that they expect that it will last at least 24-months! - DaveUnknown problemAfter 1 use will not turn on to use it anymore
