Installation was almost straightforward. I had to widen the countertop opening from 18" to 18.75", not a surprise. The strips that go underneath seem a bit useless, but I used them.
The mount brackets are not ideal. Only 2 were included. It required some bending of the metal to make them work. When installed according to the diagram, the bracket tends to slide down the mounting screw until it slips out from under the countertop. I bought some clear silicone ($6.50 plus tax) and put a bead around the stove after installing, hoping that will help keep it in place.
The gas connections includes a coupler for 1/2" NPT to what looks like 3/8" flare. My supply line is 1/2" flare, so I had to buy a coupler for that ($7.50 plus tax).
To adjust the burner, you remove the knob for the burner in question and stick a screwdriver in there to open/close it. A regular precision screwdriver set (like those for glasses) is NOT long enough. I had to order a special long set of precision screwdrivers ($8.00 plus tax).
If your setup is like mine, budget an extra $25 minimum for tools and various stuff.
It would be GREAT if Vevor included more brackets with a better design and a long screwdriver for burner adjustments.
UPDATE: Burner adjustment requires a 2.0mm slotted precision screwdriver with a shaft at least 2.5 inches long. Some precision screwdrivers have a small driver head connected to a larger shaft. The shaft must be 2mm or smaller for the entire length of 2.5 inches. I chose this set and it worked great: https://a.co/d/045Qj4jn
Turn the burner to the lowest flow setting, then adjust the flame size. It doesn't seem to affect the flame size at high. - Daisy Duck *Michele*Be Careful, May Leak (especially if LPG)Be very careful and check for gas leaks after installation. Hooked up to natural gas and had leaks from multiple burners. Had Gas Company come out and verify. The Gas Company tested the burners multiple times. Lit all the burners for a while and then tested multiple times again after shutting them off. Four of the five burners were still leaking gas.
This unit is supposed to support both NG and LPG. I would be very careful using this with LPG since it is usually a much higher pressure than NG. If it is bypassing with the lower pressure NG, then LPG might be dangerous.
Also, the manual and instructions are not very helpful. Under Installation it talks about properly cutting out the whole in your counter and all the dimensions, but does not give any information on connector fitting sizes.
Needless to say, I am returning this item.
UPDATE: Added video showing the leak test for the burners. Note, this is after the unit had been reconnected to the gas line after being disconnected for several days. The burners that had a leak were ones that had been turned on and ran with flame for about 10 minutes. Then after about an hour this video was taken. - heatherNice product for the price!Awesome quality for the price! It's not as thick as a high grade but it's a very nice product! Upgrading from an older unit and had no issues but measure cut out and look at dimension size of new unit. Cleans up easy. Only issue is small burner I have to hold a few seconds before it lights . Would recommend!!!
