- Product UserOriginal stovetop had to be replacedThe installation was straight forward. Unfortunately, the left front burner would not stay on. After initial start with the knob depressed, the burner would light. However, releasing the knob to move up caused the flame to go out. The right front burner only ignited a few times and then failed to start. The unit has thermocouples at each burner. This is a safety feature that shuts off the gas to that burner if the flame goes out for any reason. This is a good feature. I suspect that there were some electrical connection problems or thermocouple problems with these two burners. I called their tech support, but they never really gave me any solution. I finally called Amazon who offered to replace the unit. I was able to keep the original unit while they shipped the replacement. Three of the five burners were operational. The replacement came in about four days. The replacement worked just fine. I then returned the original stovetop. I love the design. The price is about one third of comparable stovetops. I would have given it 5 stars except for the original problems. I do not know what their quality control program is, but they should have tested each stovetop before shipment.
