- AlexandriaGood value, great price, noisy.Noisey, but does the job. Have it in the dining room, and so far....so good.
- Gray-MysteryGreat quality - Still cooling well after 14 monthsThis fridge is still going strong after over a year.
I was going to buy a smaller one, but I’m glad I didn’t. This gives me room for larger champagne bottles on the bottom and plenty of other bottles. The racks are a little bit tight for some bottles, but it still works well. For the money I think this is a great deal and keeps my more expensive bottles at proper temperature.
I keep the dial sent to the middle and it stays around 55° on the bottles. I usually keep my house around 73 to 75°. - Donald GilletteGreat except for one thing.Looks good, works fine, bottle capacity is as advertised, BUT for some reason, every few hours, it makes a loud CLUNK noise. Expansion/contraction? Not a clue, but it's annoying.
- JC???? Buyers Beware – Faulty Wine RefrigeratorThis wine refrigerator has been nothing but trouble. It lost power unexpectedly, and instead of cooling, the unit actually feels hot to the touch. It’s clearly overworking just to try to reach temperatures below 50°F, which makes the whole appliance unsafe and ineffective.
The control buttons don’t work unless you constantly plug and unplug the unit to reset it, and even then, they stop responding. I had to contact Black & Decker’s warranty department for a replacement, but honestly, I don’t even want another one of these.
I ended up purchasing a new wine fridge from Costco instead, and I’m much happier with that choice. Save yourself the headache—buyers beware and do not purchase this product. - YetiNo regretsDefinitely great for wine storage and keeps a nice chill. However the top shelf is the coldest so I keep certain wines on top and others lower down.
There is flat shelf which is nice to store a dessert away on and a bottom bin which is great for those ready-made mini-cocktail drinks. Adding a piece of sheet metal to the inside bottom of the fridge and removing the mini-bottles from the carton and laying them directly on the metal when storing in the fridge keeps them colder.
My favorite things about this wine fridge are the looks of it, the interior light and all the space I've now gained in my main fridge. - Barbell2000's opinionGreat Price, Good Looking, Name BrandFirst, I believed the price was very competitive and that it would hold two cases of wine. Single zone but that was okay because I was only going to use it for one wine type. I like that it was flat panel, black glass filters light to protect wine and the ability to set and lock the temperature was a feature I value. All in all, it was easy to set up. I suggest at this point of the buying, setup and use that I would recommend it to others. Also if you register it, you get an extra year of warranty, bringing it to two years. That was a great added benefit.
- Gregory P. CorralesExactly what was expectedThe unit looks nice. Perfect size. A tad noisy when it runs but nothing major. Great unit for the price.
- JennaNot great. Not terrible. Only one temp.We purchased this model because we have a very specific place in our kitchen where a wine fridge will fit and this was the correct size. I am fully aware that you get what you pay for and was not expecting anything incredible from this product. Lo and behold, it lived up to my expectations.
It is fine for what it is but, as other reviews have suggested, it only has one temperature: cold. It has a dial that claims to have a “red” and “white” setting, which I assumed was a temperature gauge for red and white wines, but the temperature is the same no matter how you turn the dial (if you are particular about having your reds kept at room temperature, you do not want this fridge) so maybe red and white means something different. Some reviews have also mentioned a noise it makes. The only noise I’ve noticed is a clicking sound when it’s turning on and off as the temperature changes. If you live in a studio apartment or plan to have the fridge in your bedroom, that could get annoying, but it isn’t too bad in our kitchen. I do notice it, though.
It’s a great size, great price, looks great, and overall it’s fine for keeping my wine that was getting boiled in the summer heat at a reasonable temperature. We’re not connoisseurs so we’re not buying wines that will be ruined without proper storage so yeah. 3 stars. Average.
