- Mrs. S. TenczaNice yarn!This yarn surprised me. it was fairly soft but much softer after a first wash. Easy to use as it did not split. The color changes were different than most and added interest to my project.
- L. WrightSuper saver just can't be stopped!Like most fiber enthusiasts, i had my run with Red Heart as a new crocheter. Sorry Red Heart but this was a huge "loose." I hated the feel of the scratchy yarn and as a left handed crocheter in a right handed world, I would not pick up the hobby again for decades.
BITTY STRIPES FOR THE WIN!!! I actually watch a swatch video on you tube for this yarn. I had also heard some techniques for softening the fibers once the project is complete, not the least of which is just plain washing and drying. This works!.... and the yarn becomes very lovely to wear.
CROCHETERS UNITE! This yarn was meant for you! Any crocheter knows that most variegated yarns are meant for knitted patterns and when you crochet them you get weird splotchy patterns. Red Heart Bitty Stripes knocked it out the park in a huge way with this! I have a Prineville on my knitting needles which looks nice, but the crochet sweater i am finishing is stunning!
CROCHETERS this yarn is for us! The stripes crochet beautifully in every stitch ive tried. It works up best in medium-small chain lengths with the larger chain becoming more blotchy imho.
The price is affordable especially if you can find it at your big box stores, which i could not. Why?... because every time they got it in stock, it sells out quickly, for good reason.
I ordered a many of the two skein sets as I could afford and I am enjoying the beautiful colorways, great stitch definition, and easy care instructions. If this yarn has the durability super saver is known for, I relinquish my view to never use super saver and I will be buying more Bitty Stripes.q - C. SizemoreLove this Yarn!Love the Bitty Stripe yarn. Much better price through Amazon than any place I have found the yarn. This yarn has become my favorite if not my most favorite yarn to use. The color way works up beautifully. Not the softest but very nice to work with. No splitting and the value can't be beat. The number of yards you receive is a great value.
- Donna EverestYarn is soft and easy to work with; no knots or frayingThis yarn is very soft. It is self striping and very pretty. The yarn does not come apart. I’m on my fourth ( making blanket) skein and find it easy to use. Adding on new skein doesn’t always “ match” color you are working with, but color repeat is often enough that only a picky experienced crocheter would notice—it is not overly obvious at all. I do not usually like working with Red Heart because some is soft & some is rough yarn, but these colors were perfect for my granddaughter so I took a chance and love how soft this is. The skeins are large (515 yd) so it is good value for the money. This is #4 weight and yarn thickness is typical for weight. Yarn glides off hook easily & is very easy to work with; it works very well. I highly recommend this yarn

- D. BowersPretty variegation; standard Red Heart yarn qualityThe quality is standard, budget Red Heart acrylic yarn. It’s not super soft or anything, but it’s really pretty (this is Lollipop). I like the frequent color changes. I scoured the internet for decent swatches and found very few. So, here’s my WIP so you can see it worked up: Ripple stitch afghan using size J/6.0 crochet hooks. I also swatched it in C2C and moss stitch but forgot to take photos, but it was very pretty in these other stitches, too.
