The machine was easy to set up and use — even the first few buttons came out great. The swivel mount makes alignment super simple, and the pieces press cleanly every time. I love that it includes everything you need to get started, plus the little “magic book” was a cute surprise. Definitely recommend for authors, crafters, or anyone wanting to make custom swag or small gifts!
- Kylie StarEaterPerfectI love this machine! It is easy to use and not too heavy. I really enjoyed how it had easy to understand directions. The buttons have come out really well and they appear to be staying together.
The only times things have gone wrong was due to user error. Sometimes I forget to put the metal top on or don’t push the handle down well enough but that’s my fault. I get so in the groove and get careless.
I love this machine and plan to buy other sizes in the future! - ShawInfinitesimally small buttonsUpdate Aug 2025: After my initial review the company contacted me and thanked me for my feedback and said they're using it to redesign their product to be more user friendly. They offered a refund. It is rare for an Amazon seller to offer good customer service and I appreciate this. For this reason I am changing my review from a 1 star to a 5 star. I admit my initial review was a bit harsh and was a product of our frustrations. I am hopeful their new design will solve these issues. My daughter does like making her own buttons.
Initial review: Bought this as a Xmas gift for my daughter. What a waste of money! The machine is very complicated to work and you have to be extremely precise in the set up and operation. On top of that, the buttons are barely 1/2" across. The plastic covers also scratch easily and cloud the image. God forbid you jam the machine. Takes an engineering degree to get it unlocked. Would not recommend. You're better off ordering custom buttons online. - LeAnne MinhinnetteEasy assembly but No design instructions included.This button maker was easy to assemble. However, it did not come with any directions to design buttons, so it took me several tries getting the right size made on my software and pressing the buttons for them to look right. After several attempts and failed buttons made finally mastered the art of button making through trial and error. Wish there would have been directions on design. A 3 inch button maker does not necessarily mean you design your inserts with a 3 inch template. Quality has been good, but with it being plastic, i feel like it could break easily if you press too hard. Because it’s made of plastic it made this button maker, more lightweight, and easy to pick up and move.
- Gabriella ManzuetaLearning curve — works well!The machine works well but does require a few practice buttons to get the hang of it. The tools are all there to make up to 100 buttons and the size of the buttons seem like you could easily find replacement pieces when you need more. I was afraid of the machine not working after reading reviews, but it just took a couple of tries to get it right; I think I had it down by the fourth button. The circle-cutting tool makes the prints slightly larger than they actually should be for a perfect fit, so I cut off some of the extra edge to make sure it will really work. Great fun and the buttons are cute! Good activity for the price.

- JulieButtons are unreliable and fall apart after a few weeksButton making is easy with this machine, but buttons don’t really hold up not sure if that’s because the ones that come with the machine are low quality or if it’s the machine itself, but I’ve had multiple break on me. I was hoping to sell these, but I don’t have the confidence that they will hold up.
- Silas BBeware Weak Plastic TabsDoes what it says, up to a point. Easy to use and produces decent quality buttons. The kit came with 500 32mm button materials (metal button , pin backer and clear film). However, after 20 buttons the assembly started to fail. I noticed that two of the tabs on the upper press mold had broken off. I wasn't using excessive force, so possibly very weak plastic parts or a defective unit.
Edit: The seller contacted me immediately to resolve the issue. As the part that broke wasn't replaceable or repairable, the seller sent an entire new order at no additional cost. Excellent customer service. As the original order may have been defective and since the unit works well, I am adjusting from two stars to four.
