- ABENTONBest Quilting thread ever!!!Aurofil thread is the absolute best thread on the market. I've always heard it's the best and after 5 years of quilting, I bought my dream sewing machine (juki tl 2000) and also decided I wanted the best thread to go with it. It is so soft and smooth, it runs through my machine beautifully. It doesn't break or knot up. I bought the 50 wt in dove and the co!or is perfect. Its a great neutral and can be used with any project. Aurofil thread is superb for straight stitching, walking foot and free motion. Its worth every penny. It also holds up well in the wash and the stitch definition is beautiful. Will absolutely continue to use this thread!
- Katy M.Worth the PriceThis thread is the real deal! I could tell immediately this thread was a better quality just from the feel of it when I touched it. I normally use a 50wt cotton thread but I’ve always either purchased from a big box store or a cheaper cotton thread from an online store. The normal thread I buy usually fluffs up some and the cheaper online store brand I purchased caused a lot of lint build up in my sewing machine. I have heard good things about Aurifil so I thought I’d order some and give it a try. I sewed for about 6 hours and there was no fluff caught in my seams today. There was also let lint on the needle and press or foot at the end of the day. I didn’t look at my bobbin case, but I’m willing to bet there isn’t much lint to clean out right now. I am very please with this purchase and I think this thread is a high quality.
As for the color, Dove is a very pale gray color. It has a matte finish and is very strong. I used it on pink, red, black, and white fabric. It worked fine for my quilt blocks.
