  • Excellent!
Excellent story that gives readers/listeners a good understanding of the history of the mountain men and delights and entertains readers/listeners with some of the harrowing stories of men like Jim Beckworth, Hugh Glass, and the notorious Jim Bridger. Definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested in the mountain men.
  • Great listen
Fantastic and informative listen. Great work as always from Steve Rinella
  • Great Part of Americana, well told!
If you like American history or movies about mountain men or just stories about tough and rugged men in our American history, you’ll really enjoy this. The story telling puts you there!
  • Truth
History, truly told in the best way possible
  • Family road trip approved!
Rinella makes history come alive in this book. It’s an entertaining and educational listen! Highly recommend it for road trips
  • Awesome Book
Awesome book, was very interesting to listen to. Had a long car ride and listened to this the whole way.
  • Main point in "book" is simply repeated over and over. Waste of time.
This "book" is a joke. The entire contents could have been covered in two pages max! The author repeats himself over and over again. The "book" speaks in generalities mainly and only lightly covers the lives of three men. The thing is a waste of time and money.
