- Rod PowellAwesome Once you figure it out.Works like a champ. However, when I first got it, I simply tried to fill a small 1lb cannister from my 20lb tank. Did not work. Until I watched some videos on how to do it. I know you have to turn your big tank upside down. Propane is a liquid. Then hook up the small cannister. But that did not fill it. You have to release the pressure first from the small cannister. So I took a small Phillips head, pushed into the small cannister and released air for a good 10 seconds. Then and only then was I able to fill it. You can hear the gas go in. When it stopped, I released more pressure and was able to fill in more propane until it was full.
- Brent DavisGreat way to recycle small tanksI was pleasantly surprised at how well this worked. I was able to refill two small canisters without any problem. It is simple to set up and use, and I had no issue with gas leakage. I assume it works best if your filler tank is full.
- StandngGas up your portable canisterI've used the CALPOSE Propane Refill Adapter to add about 8oz to the 1lb canister. I think I can add more Lp into the 1lb canister, but it will require additional steps. 8oz is easy enough.
- TJ 12612Works great.Easy to use. Watch any number of YouTube videos. Recommend to chill your empty 1 pound bottles prior to filling. Bonus - reusing the 1 pound bottles is good because I can't find anywhere to recycle them.
- Kyle R.Works exactly as advertisedThis refill valve works well for me anyway. I have been refilling cylinders for many years, so I know what to expect. If cylinders get overfilled just bleed them off with this tool until the propane moves inside when shaking them. Give them a little more air space if they must be used in hot sun/temps.
- Danielle DWorks great!Works perfectly for me.
- Tim MiserGood qualityGood quality product. Works great. Would buy again.
- Clark BeesonWorks - with a catchWorks OK but seller failed to disclose that purging the empty tank is necessary prior to filling. Additional purges may be needed to more completely fill tank. Review would have been a 5 had seller disclosed this trick in their ad.
