- DennisGood car wash soapGood soap, the foaming is good and scent is okay. The consistency is a lot thicker almost gel like compared to other car soaps. Took forever to refill my small bottles but that’s something I prefer. It did okay in the foam cannon, it says 5:1 ratio but I’m still dialing it out, seems excessive of a ratio. I did 5 oz in my foam cannon and did decent in terms of foam and suds and that was more like a 10:1 ratio.
- Cristian BautistaBest soap in the game!Having utilized numerous cleaning agents from various manufacturers, including P&S, Koch Chemie, and Adam's Polishes, I can confidently state that this particular product surpasses all others in terms of performance. Furthermore, its competitive pricing is a significant advantage. The pH-neutral formulation ensures that my ceramic protection remains intact..
- smittyGreat Car Wash For Car LoversIf you care about the upkeep of your car and keeping it clean. This Meguiar Gold Class Car Wash very well could be the best product on the market. It lathers and cleans up very well.
- HansGold class is GOLD, the standard in my opinionThis is the best car soap for the dollar you can get. Everything else is, in my opinion, either junk or overpriced for the minute improvement over Gold Class.
In other words, I use Gold Class as the standard to which I compare all other car soaps. The reasons I like prefer this soap over others are:
1) Gentleness - imagine you made a wish to have Johnson & Johnson's Baby shampoo, only for your car. *POOF* you open your eyes and in front of you is Gold Class. It won't wash away your wax (carnuba, man!) but will take away dirt, grime, and bug guts no problem.
2) Thickness - this stuff is thick and concentrated. When using a 5 gal bucket a tablespoon, maybe 1.5Tbl, is all you need. A gallon jug will last you a number of washes, and then some.
3) Lather/Foam - Gold Class produces a nice thick lather, or when I dilute it down for my foam cannon a nice thick foam. It works easily with either a microfiber towel or glove, and rinses easily.
4) Environmentally 'friendly' - as low-impact as a car soap gets, Gold Class is. Seriously, it's baby shampoo for your car. It won't protect the ozone layer or reduce global warming or anything spectacular - but it won't kill the frogs in your pond or the fish in your local river either (within reason, people!!!). It's decent stuff.
5) Smell - I know this is a matter of taste, but I love the smell. I also love how the smell fades in a couple days. I'm just not that into making my car smell like fake watermelon or raspberry or whatever. I like to keep it 'low-key & classy'. When I pick someone up after I've detailed my car they know it, othewise they just know my car is nice and stays nice. I sometimes wonder if my friends think I have little magic elves that just keep it clean for me....? LOL
6) *Secret-Not-A-Secret* - Gold class works for interiors too. Soap and scrub your floormats/carpet and wetvac it up. If you've a cleaner machine you can do your headliner (gently!!!!) every 'once in a blue moon'. Cloth seats get clean with Gold Class man. Brings the color out, gets the dirt out, and doesn't stain.
So if you've read all that you may wonder why not 5 stars? Why only 4? Because I'm honest, my dude. Gold Class isn't *the best* soap out there. But dollar-wise it IS. If you're one of those uber-car guys who get off on using the latest and greatest cutting-edge blueberry scented soap with microsurfactant technology whats-a-ma-call-its then go buy some 'chemical guys' brand stuff for a ridiculous price. And buy ridiculous I mean like 5x. I know this because I tried them too, just too see if the 'grass is really greener over there'. It wasn't, sadly. Not enough for the money, anyway.
But, if like me, you just want a good quality soap that kinda 'does it all' and does it all pretty darn well - then buy this stuff. Your call. - Fernando AlbarranGreat shampooLeaves my car looking shiny. Easy to use with any car. Would definitely buy again.
- AlanBikeReal quality & valueCleans very well and leaves no water marks. Surprising how little is required---1 tablespoons per gallon---to do a good job.
- RickThat it definitely works with a pressure washerI am using this and it is very good. I have purchased it three times and so far I've loved it. Very good foaming action and sits on the car very well. McGuire's definitely makes very good products. I am using it with a pressure washer. The pH is pretty neutral so it doesn't do a lot in that area but the car is very smooth after you've used it if your car is waxed or ceramic coated.
