- tnscotQuirky, well organized and a great source of travel ideas.Had been trying to track down a copy of this book for a while, and just noticed it was back on Amazon! It's a great reference for spur of the moment travel as well as a source of ideas for future vacations/overseas trips. A nice thing is that the recommendations are not "generic", but have a certain quirkiness. For those places we have already visited, the information is accurate, so we're optimistic about using the guide for future trips.

It gives the best seasons for trips, where to go and what to do while at a particular destination. Included are all manner of locations, including in the U.S. It cuts down on online searches by condensing a lot of valuable information into one volume. I bought it as a gift, and the recipient, an avid traveler, was very pleased with it. A good thing, since it cannot be returned.
