The book breaks down the unique skills, determination, and dreams that propelled Messi and Ronaldo to global stardom, using clear language and engaging anecdotes. It encourages kids to work hard, dream big, and embrace good sportsmanship, making it more than just a biography—it’s a motivational manual for aspiring athletes. • Awesome for Young Soccer Fans
This book is a great intro to the stories behind two of the biggest names in soccer. It doesn't focus on just who scored the most goals, it's about how they trained, stayed focused, and handled tough moments. The writing is easy to follow for kids and keeps things exciting with game highlights, behind-the-scenes facts, and even tips young players can try. It shows how hard work, determination, and a strong mindset matter just as much as talent.
  • A good book for aspiring young soccer players
I think this book was a good read and worthy of a review. There are a number of key features about the book that stand out that I would like to address.

First off, I appreciate the cover. There isn't much on there aside from the title, some silouettes of kids in the background and a cartoonish image of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo of which this book is about. This book isn't particularly long and its only about 113 pages. The chapters are short and sweet with descriptive information about the lives of Messi and Ronaldo. This book is a quick read and I was able to get through at least half of the book in only thirty minutes which is good if its being sold as a children's book. The text in the book is not hard to read at all and many of the paragraphs in the chapters are short and even a single sentence in length.

I appreciated most of all the pictures that were included in each chapter of the book. They depict certain moments in the lives of both Messi and Ronaldo and help us feel like we're a part of the narrative.

As for the actual content of the book, it appears that this book doesn't really read as a guide so much as it reads more like a short biography of each of their lives. The book starts from the humble beginnings of the young prospective soccer players and it then goes into more detail about their personal lives, their struggles, their hopes and dreams, major events that lead up to the present day and eventually what became of them when they finally made it to the big leagues and up to the year 2017.

I think this book is really good if you have a young aspiring soccer player in your house and you would like to give them this book as a gift. It's easy to read, and it describes the major points in the lives of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as they're growing up.
  • A must-read for any aspiring player!
This book brilliantly captures the magic of Messi and Ronaldo's journeys, transforming their rivalry into life lessons for young athletes. Packed with digestible training tips, mindset drills, and behind-the-scenes stories, it goes beyond stats to teach resilience, discipline, and passion. The "Training Like the GOATs" section alone makes it worth it—my kid practices footwork daily now! Perfect for soccer fans and parents alike, blending inspiration with actionable advice.
  • Epic Showdown of Two Lifetimes!
Beyond a reverence biography, this book takes a unique approach, following the lives of two soccer titans, one after the other. Then, we see both timelines converge into one HUGE game for both of them. Excitement abounds in the writing style as we follow the ups and downs of both of their lives until the big game, where they face off. Sentence structure is kept simple for young ones, but the engagement level is for all ages. What a finish! I did not see this game, but now I feel like I was there. It's better than me watching a game without knowing the story behind their lives. Great ending which shows that the effort and sport isn't just about winning, but treating others as winners regardless of the outcome.
  • Perfect for soccer loving fans
Finding a kid that does not know who Messi and Ronaldo are is really difficult. If you're even just kind of into soccer, this is one of those books you’ll pick up, thinking it’s just a fun read, and suddenly you’re deep in the world of two of the greatest players to ever grace the field. It somehow manages to capture the energy, passion, and rivalry that made Messi and Ronaldo the players every kid looked up to. I also really liked that there are cool training tips sprinkled throughout for kids.

If you love soccer or know a kid that does, this book is worth every page.
  • Fun and inspiring read for young soccer fans
“Messi and Ronaldo: The Soccer GOATs” is a fun and inspiring read for young soccer fans. It mixes real-life stories and rivalry highlights with easy-to-follow lessons. I liked that it doesn’t just list facts but it gives kids actual training tips, mindset advice and encouragement. It encourages readers to dream big and stay focused. The writing is simple and fast-paced so it's good for reluctant readers. Overall would recommend for young athletes who loves soccer.
