- RestlessinPhoenixI got this for my nephew - I found it funny.I asked my nephew about Christmas present ideas and he said "how about a book about driving cars?" ( he is working on getting his license.)
Being the smart- uncle I am...and knowing driving is more about practice and people driving with you than reading a book...I found this book.
He opened it for Christmas as kind of my gag gift to him. The family found it funny.
I found it funny.
For example, a section says: "Don't hit old people". Then explains why.
My kind of humor. - jenA true gag gift? So, I am torn. The title drew me in and flipping through i found some pages to be funny, but some were far reaching...like dont crash into antartica? Ummmmm.,.. the other thing I found was that the opening page is in the way of a roast, for example it says something to the effect of "things that would be obvious to most people, but we have been told you are not most people..." implying that they are stupid? so if said person is thick skinned and sarcastic...ok....but if they are nervous or more, squishy.? maybe not the introduction I would have chosen. It is not what I expected, and is thinner and more scholastic-y? then i was anticipating.....torn on whether to gift or forget that I bought it....leaning towards forgetting.
- Scott BeechGag giftGot this for my 23 year old niece. She can't seem to go a week without some new dent or paint swapping badge on her car. Since she never seems to know what happened, I thought this would be the perfect Christmas gift. If this doesn't help, I don't know what will. AA, perhaps?
