  • Excellent resource for Ireland travel!
Excellent resource for Ireland travel! Not only has this been our ultimate reference guide for planning, but it will be coming with us on the trip. Love the details, history, opinions, and recommendations.
  • Insightful launch point book
Love Rick Steves books. They give you a great sense of the country and is a Great starting point for making our vacation plans. It's an easy reading reference book. I typically use a Rick Steves book when considering where to go.
  • Trip
    Lots of information and ideas.
  • Interesting and helpful travel guide
Best travel guide to use for Ireland. I initially tried to read the lonely planet travel guide for Ireland and it was a very dull read. This was significantly better!
  • Good but not Great
I typically love Rick Steve’s books and videos. I travel a lot and rely on Rick to provide the information I need to make good itinerary choices. However, he references, more than once, that obtaining a personal guide is really helpful in Ireland but doesn’t actually provide any suggestions on how to do this.
In this particular case it’s obvious what his favorite places were since he covers them in great detail. If you’re interested in different places, you’ll need another guidebook.
  • Great guide
We used a Rick Steve's guide the first trip to Ireland 10 years ago. It was excellent the first time, and it has been just as good for planning again now, 10 years later
  • Another solid guide from the team at Rick Steves!
It's from the team at Rick Steves! How can we go wrong. LOVE the details and special notes to help guide your trip planning choice. I feel informed and safe and look forward to putting the guide into use this Fall.
Thank you RS team for consistently producing excellent quality and useful guides.
  • Don't kiss the Blarney Stone!
I have long been a fan of Rick Steves for European travel guides, and this book did not disappoint. I was only mildly disappointed that he doesn't consider the Blarney Stone worth a visit (or a kiss, rather), which I had certainly planned to do, but all his recommendations are always spot-on and make for a great trip. The walking tours he includes are especially helpful.
