  • The Real Deal
Rapid fire journey through entertaining and unique life of McLaren CEO Zak Brown. No holds barred, this quick read reveals the “real Zak” - warts and all. Fun, quick Christmas read.
  • In need of an editor, but decent otherwise
This book is written exactly as Zak Brown speaks, which for some can be difficult to read. I purchased this book as a gift for my husband, and he commented that it could have used an editor because there were errors, the tense wasn't accurate, and it had other issues that made this a difficult read.
  • Buy it
    Fantastic book - definitely recommend.
  • Good Read
    Awesome Book
  • Grammar is distracting
I think Zak is a great F1 leader but he seriously needed a copy editor for this book. Grammar is atrocious and I’m having a hard time connecting with the book.
  • Just ok, feel like it could be done again better.
I’m a huge F1 fan and Zak always comes across well and likeable. Was excited to read this book but it ended up being ‘just ok’. Felt it lacked much depth, would have been nice to have more details, much of the structure is short sentences and lacked what felt like could be more. If you’re into F1, McLaren and Zak Brown then you’ll enjoy it but not much beyond that. Felt a little like a magazine feature article than an autobiography.
  • Back words printed
Book arrived printed upside down and backwords. Really weird
  • Writing an autobiography without using past tense!
It is really quite incredible that he didn't use the past tense while writing extensively about his youth. This book is absolutely crying out for a ghost writer. He had a story to tell, but Zak apparently is quite an incompetent writer.
