  • Exceptional Ultra-Wide-Angle Lens for Capturing Life's Big Moments!
I've had the Canon RF-S10-18mm F4.5-6.3 STM Ultra-Wide-Angle Zoom Lens for a few weeks now, and it's been a game-changer for my vlogging and photography! This lens delivers stunning image quality, impressive clarity and vibrant colors.Pros:
Ultra-wide-angle capture: Perfect for sweeping landscapes, interior shots and group selfies.
STM motor: Smooth, quiet autofocus ideal for video recording.
Compact and lightweight: Easy to carry, perfect for travel.
Image stabilization: Reduces camera shake and blur.
    Cons:
    None significant – exceeded expectations!
    Experience:
    I've used this lens for:
    Vlogging: Captured crisp, wide-angle footage.
Landscapes: Stunning vistas with excellent depth.
    Portraits: Unique perspectives
  • Light weight, great lens with my R6ii, not much of the distortion around the corner
Surprizingly , this lens is better than what i expected. Light weight. I used it with my R6ii and it is perfect for travel and take space photography. Less distortion than my previous EOS 15mm wide angle lens
  • A good cheap wide-angle lens
I tried this lens several times. It a budget-friendly wide angle lens. Sharpness, speed is good. It's a good entry-level wide angle lens for money. Look for periodic sales/discounts.
  • More than exceeds expectations for me.
I needed this lens for a bit of a diff reason than others; I'm a dance games player and needed to be able to get an angle that encompasses my movements plus the entire machine as I play. Up till recently, I was fine just recording everything on my phone, but when I upgraded to a newer model, I discovered that the camera on it does not zoom out past 0.6x which is very odd. Anyway, I got this lens for my Canon R50 and it is perfect. I got all I wanted and then some. So glad I decided to follow my gut and get this lens. A small investment that has already been worth it. It's also nice to have for wide angle shots etc. for capturing full landscapes. This will come in super useful for my upcoming Japan trip. I plan to play dance games while there but also to get lots of photos of other things.
  • Decent wide angle lens
Note: This is an effective 16-29mm lens on APS-C crop sensor cameras, such as Canon's R series (I'm using an R50). I have the RF 16mm (25mm effective), and while it's about as good as this, it's not quite wide enough on APS-C, in my opinion.

Ever wonder how they make automobile and RV interiors look huge? A wide angle lens like this is what they use.

You have to know how to use a wide angle lens if you want to avoid distortion. If you're not squared up vertically and horizontally, you're going to get distorted (bended lines, or slight fish-eye effect) in your shots, with horizons, tall buildings, etc. Not a good lens for macros*, but you can get some background blur. If you're videoing a live band onstage, you'll need the camera to be centered, at the right height, and don't pan.

Short zoom lenses like these are mostly intended to bring your subjects in just a little more if you can't get quite close enough, not to "zoom".

You can use it for vlogging.

It's not a very fast lens, but it's not horrible in lower light.

    No built-in IS.

*If macros are your thing, in my opinion, the Canon RF 35mm is stellar, and is great for street and vlogging photography. It costs a lot more, but it has IS and can take stunning shots.

For a $300 lens from Canon, this 10-18mm wide angle lens is worth having in your collection.
  • Great lens
Got this for my R7 and still learning how to use it best, but loving the images already.
  • Great lens!
Great lens for landscapes and real estate photography.
  • Great little wide lens
Love this lens! I needed a very wide shot for an activity I’m documenting and it’s great.
