Top reviews from the United States
- Yingda W.Awesome budget lensFirst thing to keep in mind: this is a 67 dollar lens.
Pros:
This lens offers great zoom at 67 dollars
Sturdy(except of the lens holder, it scares me for being tad bit loose)
Nice quality(for a 67 dollar lens)
Cons:
Chromatics was horrible(easy fix though from photoshop)
Manual(it is okay but will be hard for beginners)
I fully recommend this if you are going on a budget in exploration of photography like me. Highly recommend the lens. A tip for the company: make the ring holder sturdier. If you are a professional and a whale, I would skip this and buy an expensive one from Sigma/other big companies. - Noel Alcoba, AuthorExceeded my expectationsI am extremely pleased with this. For the price I was expecting something cheaply made, impossible to use. There was no way I could get good pictures, I thought.
First off, it's very well constructed. Heavy, sturdy steel. The lenses seem crystal clear. It feels like a more expensive item. It's not some 3D printed, mass produced piece of crap. Definitely worth more than the price, as far as workmanship is concerned.
Secondly, I was pleasantly surprised with the picture quality I got. Of course the first pictures I took were of the moon (like everyone else). You can actually see craters. The picture of the rabbit--that's from about 50 feet away, hand held, no tripod. You can see for yourself the color and the clarity.
Now, this IS a manual lens. I'm using a Nikon D3200, very basic DSLR, set to MANUAL. After experimenting with different ISO's and shutter speeds, and some pictures that didn't turn out, I think I got the hang of it. For the moon picture I did have to mount it on a tripod and use the timer release to click the shot, to minimize blur. But you can get good pictures without a tripod for distances up to about 50 feet.
Definitely worth the price. I wasn't quite ready to invest in a $3000-10,000 lens. This does what I need it to do. - E T SineBetter than expected.I opened the box 10 min ago. The lens easily attached to my Canon Rebel using the provided T mount adapter. The hex tool also porvided was not needed. Its a manual focus lens so I had some concerns but I was able to focus the lens faster than my standard ef-s lenses set on auto focus. Picture quality is yet to be determined but the image on the cameras viewing screen is impressive. In my novice opinion this lens is worth twice the price.
Another plus is I receved the lens in perfect condition 2 days early. When purchasing in the future I will be checking this companys lenses first. - JustinAdapter listed but not included?Well that's unfortunate. Similar to other reviews, my lens did not come with the adapter that it stated would come with it. I ordered the lens with an adapter for Sony e mount. I currently have no way to test this to see if it works.
If I receive the appropriate e mount t adapter, I will update this review. Otherwise, this might just get returned. - RossAffordable...but not worth it.You get what you pay for. It is an affordable alternative to name-brand lenses. The issue is, you have to be in manual mode to even use it, so you're constantly needing to adjust and readjust the lens to keep your subject clear. The output, once you look at the photos in post, shows soft, rounded edges and pixelation. So the lens really is just a piece of glass that doesn't entirely interface with your DSLR, resulting in less than top-quality photos. This lens shines best for night photography, capturing the moon or some distant wildlife. Again, you get what you pay for.
- Mohammed SalehT2 adapter.I didn't use the lens yet because it didn't come with the T2 adapter as mentioned.
I couldn't check the quality of the lens
Edit
The lens quality after use is verygood, the photos are beautiful.
The shop ontacted me to resend the t2 adapter.
They are very helpful.
The shipping time is on time and fast as expected.
Thanks Lightdow for the reply and the follow up.
I re ommend the seller. - Honest ReviewerThis lens has a purposeSimple, honest review as to why I gave it five stars.
Likes: price is unbeatable, seems to be well made out of metal not plastic, light weight, narrow design, excellent sharpness at 800mm for the price
Dislikes: chromatic aberration is sinful, the screw on camera mount doesn’t stay tight, the tripod mount seems a little flimsy, not weather sealed, no aperture ring, no filter threads and the vinyl pouch is an abomination.
This lens is excellent if you want to use it to survey an area from a long distance away, without spending the king’s fortune on a high dollar lens that weighs 16 lbs and is 5 ft long and 1 ft wide. A drone might work also but it’s not going to cost $66. That’s why I gave it five stars :) You might be disappointed if you’re a high priced photographer like myself, who sells his images for a living. This is not that kind of lens. Although I did get some sharp ones out of it. - TommyFairly Decent for the Price. For the price, it does the job. Manual focus kind of sucks, but that's expected for the price.
