- Mel + PeteWorth it, but buy off of amazon, unless you like poor quality shipping.Amazing camera, but amazon's shipping department is a god damn joke. The camera was in a box, inside of a box, within a bigger box. The "included accessories" were just launched loosely into the larger box and happily bounced around like lunatics in a padded room during delivery and transport.
Now for the review. The quality of the photos is amazing. Super easy and self explanatory to use, and honestly an amazing camera for the price.

Edit: There are three spots apparently on the mirror as they turn up in every single shot no matter which lens is use. Two are bright white and one is bright red.
Canon Support was great when I called about those spots. Sent a pre-paid UPS shipping label so I could send it back to have it looked at. Seems as though it may have a small bit of dust on the sensor?

Sent my camera to Canon for repair. Got it back and it worse than it was. I should have bought a Nikon. - daveyBGreat for beginners, a few cheap accessories.The tripods are pretty cheap. Any $40 tripod is better than this. When I ordered it they forgot both as cards. I called and they sent 1 32gb SS cars not two like the bundle has. I gave up not wanting to go through the hassle.
The camera is great for a beginner. The raw files are pretty good and manual mode is easy to use with the scroll wheel. The attachable flash module is a little cheap but usable. Overall this kit is a great value for the money and great for just starting out. The size is great, it isn't too heavy and the photographs are clear and vibrant. This is an excellent purchase. The camera was shipped promptly, and everything arrived in mint condition. The editing software is easy to use, and the camera bag is comfortable to carry. I enjoy getting to practice with the different lenses. All in all this is a great Canon camera.
