- R. MohebanSuper easy to get started and consistently high speedsA year ago I cancelled my home DSL plan and started just using wifi at coffee shops. After a while I realized that by goosing my mobile data allotment I could use the hotspot feature of a cell plan to have internet for my PC. But it wasn't enough monthly data so I've been buying these data cards to supplement. Thus for the past year I've burned through over a dozen data-only SIM cards in an older smartphone basically just for my PC.
Using numerous data-only SIM cards has taught me that getting them to work is a crapshoot. Any little configuration problem and it doesn't work, no internet. It's not cellular dead spots either as all 3 major carriers have great signal strength at my home. But some cards don't like my 7 year old smartphone and sometimes cards from the same brand work in that phone while other cards do not. Some brands I've never got to work in that phone after toying with the settings for hours. I'm using that phone essentially as a router.
My point in this review is that while I've used at least 6 brands with varying results, the one brand that has been reliably easy and consistent to get up and running quickly is Kiwisim. It's not the cheapest on a per GB basis but it's been free of any headaches while all the other brands have made me pull my hair out at some point.
Especially for an older smartphone or a device that you unsure would be supported for any reason, if the least hassles is what you desire I think Kiwisim should top your list based on my experience thus far. - ashleyCannot activateIf i could give negative stars i would! Bought this for a t mobile Hotspot to run my cameras. There's no activation info other than a horrible YouTube video. I'm just going to get another mint mobile card and use it! If I can't put the Sim in and register online then I'll skip their products!
- Billy BobSolid SIM that works with multiple carriersVery good SIM card that can be used in a number of different devices. The setup is a bit confusing as it's not clear what APN configuration really to use. References to the APN on the card are wrong as there is no APN on the card. Looking at the video's is not entirely helpful either. But setting up APN's isn't all that complex so it was easily resolved.
I had the opportunity to interact with the customer service team and they were very helpful. They are Europe based so response time might take a little longer, but they always were quick to provide tips or resolution to issues.

Data is slow and not the best coverage but for so cheap it's good for using Google while out at the store etc. - Richard AmosGreat Seller, Great Product, For Winegard in the US get Talksim, instead of kiwisimI purchased this to go in a Winegard ConnecT for my camper in the USA. Campground WIFI never works well enough to watch tv. The only issue I had was that some of my apps, Paramount + and Peacock, were giving a location error. I contacted the seller and they sent me a different card that worked perfectly. You just download the Topup app that they have and you can add data to your card very easily. Great Customer Service, Easy to setup, Best Value for a Data Only sim card. If you live in the US, and want a sim for streaming TV shows and such, get the "Talksim", For Europe the "Kiwisim"
should work fine. Both are from the same company and use the Topup App to add data.
I highly recommend this product and seller. - Craig chappelearSuper sketchy product that doesn’t work.I intentionally have not requested a refund to try and save others from buying this product. I bought this SIM card as a recommended product with the att turbo hotspot I purchased. None of the instructions on the package work, the videos make no sense as far as activation, the QR codes don’t lead to any instructions and the packaging materials were a mirror image which I had to flip in photoshop to even read (see photo). Went directly to the company website to follow instructions to activate which leads you to a non secure http: site with only a numbered web address (super sketchy) and then it doesn’t even lead anywhere. DO NOT BUY THIS. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

- mpvNot working fully, but see updateOriginal review: I have two different product support request requests in to see if I can get the card to work on a 4g camera but after a month of attempts and manufacturing resetting it will not consistently work, but will only connect to the network once and then not after that. It may simply be that the card is not automatically picking the best network as this has been an issue for me with other cards, but I need customer support to be able to work and so far that has not occurred. I will update this review when or if customer Support gets back to me.
UPDATE: Both product support and customer support have now gotten back with me and I appreciate their response. I have gotten the card to work sporadically. In fairness to Kiwi Sim it is unclear why the card is not fully working and could be related to network issues or it could be related to What network access Kiwi Sim has. I simply don’t know. In any event, Kiwisim customer support has been responsive, and I would likely try the product again given that it is a better deal than some of the other card, but like all of this tech, you need to make sure that it works for your situation.
