- Leonard LacroixIllegal advertising by seller. Terrible ServiceIllegal advertising by seller. Package front and back both state: "Unlimited Talk, Text, & Data". But on the front bottom, it states, "3G Data", and the listing details state: "3GB of High-Speed 5G 4G LTE Data." How can it be limited to 3G of data if it clearly states "unlimited data" on the package front and back. I contacted the seller, Ultra Mobile" about this and asked the same question. They referred me to Amazon to complain to you, if I received the wrong SIM card. However, I was starting to message back to them in the chat that I did not get the wrong SIM, I got the one I ordered, but the seller has put misleading info on the package. Before I could even send that reply message, the chat rep from Ultra Mobile ended the chat as soon as they sent me the message saying to contact Amazon about it.
Set up was very complicated, took a very long time to try and get this all straightened out. The activation instructions said I have to change the settings for Access Point Names, which was a long process. But it also seemed as though the Access Point Names were automatically configured during activation.
I am unable to access voicemail unless I reset network settings to factory default settings on my phone, which I don't want to do, since I am only trying out this SIM on my phone, and plan to revert back to my Tracfone network. If I reset network settings, all data, bluetooth, & wifi settings will be deleted. That would mean that when I reinstall the Tracfone card, I will not be able to access my voicemail on that network, plus I won't be able to log into my wifi or use my previously paired bluetooth devices with my phone.
When the phone is initially set up, and I call my home phone from the mobile using the SIM card, it comes up as "April Bailey", which is not me. There is no way to resolve or change this. Ultra Mobile said they would escalate that, but I dont know if they will fix it.
I have had two chats with their customer service, which both went about 1 hour. The chat reps seem to be chatting with multiple people at the same time, so their responses usually take a very long time & they never admit to chatting with multiple people simultaneously when asked directly about it. They claim they are checking resources or having system issues. Most of the chat time is spent waiting for them to respond. When I asked why the physical packaging says "unlimited data" on the front and back, while the plan says "3GB of data", they could not explain that and told me to contact Amazon, then they dumped me off the chat without warning, which was so rude and unprofessional. Both chat experiences were bad.
I did try calling one of the 80 countries and enjoyed the free call and text on that. But I would not recommend this company due to the above issues. I also reported them to Amazon, who said they would escalate the issue of false advertising. - Allen PrinsterGreatGreat to use for my 12 years old grandson
- MANGOFour Stars with a Minor GlitchI purchased this prepaid phone card and have been using it for about a month now. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with my experience, which is why I'm giving it four stars.
The card offers excellent call quality. Whether I'm calling family across the country or friends in different states, the connection is clear and stable. There's no annoying static or dropped calls, which is a huge plus for me since I often have long conversations with my loved ones.
Another aspect I appreciate is the reasonable pricing. The rate per minute is quite competitive compared to other prepaid options I've tried. I especially like that there are no hidden fees or unexpected charges. What you see is what you pay, which makes budgeting for my calls straightforward.
However, there's a minor issue that prevents me from giving it five stars. The balance inquiry process is a bit cumbersome. I have to call a specific number and go through a series of voice prompts just to check how much credit I have left. It would be much more convenient if there was an app or online portal where I could easily manage my account and check my balance without making a call.
Despite this small inconvenience, I'm still happy with my purchase and would recommend this prepaid phone card to others looking for a reliable and affordable communication solution. - LaLaRichStaying never leavingVerizon was giving me a hard time trying to pay my bill. I was without a phone over a week. They were overcharging me for stuff I wasn't even getting. I came across this and I have not looked back. Ultra mobile a part of T-Mobile network I'm getting unlimited talk and text 5g network and 10gb data a month for 29. Verizon texts didn't work I had to use a weird service, phone only had 4g, 15g. Data 45$ a month. No contest. It was super easy to activate and I can easily pay my bill on the app. I feel stupid for staying with Verizon for so long and getting ripped off.
- rojaniSolid prepaid option with good valueI purchased the Ultra Mobile Prepaid SIM Kit (8GB, 1-Month Plan) and overall it’s been a good experience. The 8GB of data is enough for normal use like browsing, social media, and messaging, and call quality has been clear with no noticeable drops.
The only downside is that data can run out quickly if you stream a lot, so this plan is best for light to moderate users. Otherwise, for the price, it’s a great prepaid option with no contracts. - NeiliaGreat valueGreat plans and service, my friend and I have been using this network for years.
