- Rare BirdGood pantsI’m 5’4”, 125lbs, 29” waist I ordered a size S 29”long. Overall these pants are slim fit as far as snow pants go, the waist fits perfectly, even slightly loose. Normally, my pants are 28” long, I ordered these in 29” and for me they are about half an inch shorter than where I want them.

As a plus-size woman, it’s often hard to find snow gear that’s both comfortable and flattering, but these fit beautifully. They have plenty of room to move without feeling bulky or restrictive, which makes a huge difference when spending long days outdoors.
The insulation is excellent — they keep me warm even in cold, windy conditions without needing heavy layers underneath. I stayed cozy while walking, sledding, and just enjoying the snow. The adjustable waistband is a big bonus and helps create a secure but comfortable fit.
I also love how durable they feel while still being lightweight. For the price, the quality is outstanding. These pants gave me confidence and comfort in the snow, and I didn’t feel squeezed or uncomfortable at all.

They don’t have any stretch at all to them. I got the size I normally would wear. Length wise they are perfect. They're great for extreme weather as they kept me warm and toasty.

- KnickKnackPaddyAWESOME women Arctix womens snow pantsI’ll be spending a week in the snow. I ordered some “slim” fit snow pants with a huge amount of good reviews and was incredibly disappointed. First, they’re mens cut - weird awkward fit - second, they just weren’t warm. I was in dry 63 degree weather and I may as well have been wearing jeans. So, I ordered Arctix brand womens snow pants. Much much more insulated. Actually cut for a woman’s form so they fit very well! I’m not in the snow yet but it’s a windy 50 degree day and I was as warm as I could possibly be - I ordered another pair right away! For me, they run a bit big but not so big that they look clownish. Big enough to slip some thermal pants underneath (for the snow) and still be comfortable. You can adjust the waist on these because they have sturdy Velcro - there’s also loops for a belt. I freaking love these. Forget the slim look - yeah they’d be cuter but you’ll be freezing. These also have room to comfortably go over your snow boots on the bottom - OR - as I did, fold back once down near the cuffs (we used to call this pegging our pants back in the 80’s haha) and bring my boots up over them - tie boots snugly and they feel softer than the sock and boots only. Highly recommend! Arrived next day! I’m 5”6 and weigh probably 132 pounds right now. I have short legs so I got the medium short size and they’re a freaking dream! PS - they look really good! I’m pleasantly surprised with how great they look for well insulated snow pants. Don’t hesitate - get these!
EDIT TO ADD - I had my week in the snow. From 40 degrees to 19 degrees - the pants totally kept me warm. The snow pretty much rolled right off - I can’t speak to how water resistant these are because it wasn’t slushy snow - but I’ve got to think they would’ve been at least a LITTLE wet. They weren’t. Loved these. So warm that when I went to a bar after hiking in the snow - I was pretty toasty and went outside a few times to cool off. Definitely warm. Definitely comfortable. Definitely recommend. - S. WintersSizing is WAY Off on Plus SizesI bought 3 pairs of these pants in different sizes and lengths and none of them fit right. I got the 4x with the 31L and the the waist was was too big and the length was way too long. Normally I am a 22W in pants and 31 is a good length. The 3x 29L were too tight in the waist. I could wear them but I wouldn't be able to sit down or bend over to put my shoes on, however, the length was much better if a bit too long. Then I ordered a 4x in the 27L as the 29 was good but still a little long. The waist on these was even tighter than the waist on the 3x. I couldn't even zip them up.
Also a side note, the width of the thighs is HUGE in all of these waist sizes. My thighs are not thin and I could almost get both legs in one pant leg on all these pants.
I kept the 4x 31L, as I had a ski trip coming up and I could make due with a belt. Unfortunately we didn't do any skiing and I didn't even take the pants out of my suitcase so I don't know how warm they would have been. The quality on the ones I bought seems pretty good. They seem like they will keep you warm in the snow. I like that the pockets have zippers so nothing falls out.
This would have been my first time skiing, next time I'll start buying pants earlier to find ones that will actually fit. For now I have a pair that I hope to NEVER fit in (because they are way too big and I missed the return window). - Harper Has ThatCute ski pants! - J. GrisafiInconsistent sizing and color?I moved to the colder state. I have to go outside regularly because of my job. I get cold easily. Two layers of leggings won't be enough. Some of my coworkers like to wear snow pants for warmth regularly including kids after the weather gets cold. I decided to purchase the snow pants. I ordered the first pair and I liked it. They were comfortable, waterproof, and warm!!! I ordered the second pair. Somehow their colors were not the same shade, they were in different vinyl bags. I like them anyway. I wanted to buy another pair so I can wear one for outdoor activities and two pairs for my work. The third pair's sizing was way off then previous two pairs. The third pair was way much smaller and tight. I could compare it with two other pairs, and it was obvious. The third one had a bad stitch as well. Sadly, I had to return the third one. I would give one star for the third one. My two other pairs, I would give five stars.
