This is advertised as a "boys" outfit but this pattern is cute for a boy or girl. The outfit is soft and fairly lightweight which will be very comfortable for the baby. The weight is nice and the baby won't get overheated in it. The print has an old timey feel and looks to be a good quality print.
The price was fantastic, especially for such a quality outfit. The outfit zips from the bottom or top, making it easy to put on or take off of your precious baby. The only downside is the hand opening—it’s very tight and makes it hard to get my baby’s hand through. In my case, I just leave my son’s hands tucked in, which actually helps prevent him from scratching himself.

Since Burt’s Bees sleep & play pajamas tend to fit large, I anticipate they will work for a 7-8lb newborn.
