- Jennifer AndersonExcellent tablet with great performance and display⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ is an excellent tablet. It has a large, clear display, perfect for watching videos, studying, or working. It runs smoothly, apps open without issues, and the battery life is very good. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and offers great quality for the price. Highly recommended. - Gelsys BlancoWork goodThis tablet is excellent and very easy to use

Great value for the price and I am very satisfied with this purchase - Alex VGreat inexpensive option for online workbooksI was looking for a tablet to study school material on that didnt break the bank and this fit the bill perfectly! Does everything i need, mostly downloading school workbooks and note taking. Having owned android phones for the last 20 years familiarity with this product was something I looked for since it was the same platform, setup was a breeze and synced with my Google account which was extremely convenient, took all the guess work out of it. Automatically connected to my wifi with out having to look for the router password, another thing I like about this table is the option to expand the memory with a micro sd card. Definitely reccomend!
- techno-babblerDecent tablet with poorly engineered micro SD card trayI like the operation of the tablet, the user interface, the wake/sleep function with a cover, and so far it runs smoothly on with all the apps I like. Switches quickly between apps, and the camera seems adequate but not as nice as the one on my Samsung phone. Charge isn't overly fast but holds the charge a long time. It was sending me a lot of non-urgent system messages that I don't need interrupting my day, but by plowing through configuration options, I got most of them silenced. It also wasn't recognizing punctuation during voice typing; the solution was to switch an option under voice typing from Samsung to Google voice typing so that it types "," when I say "comma."
How well this stands up over time is really going to be the important factor to me... I'm really tired of replacing cheaper tablets with power buttons that fail, charging that stops, or other hardware failures that turn Android tablets into bricks. So we'll see. So far only my most expensive tablet purchase has lasted for years and properly aged into obsolescence. The cheaper ones die young.
The main reason I'm knocking this down a star is the micro SD tray. It was infuriating. I actually bought 2 of these A9+ tablets from 2 different stores, and they both were the same in this respect. I've put micro SD cards into a lot of different devices, and I expected them to fit into the slot on the tray. Not these. Couldn't get my micro SD cards to fit or even lay flat on the tray. I did my best to put the card in, slid the tray into the tablet, and the device didn't recognize the card... I ejected the tray, and the tray came out leaving the card down in the slot. I fished it out (which is not easy) and tried again with same results. On the 3rd try doing exactly the same thing, the device finally recognized the SD card. I hope I don't need to replace it anytime soon. Same problem loading an SD card into the 2nd tablet, but I did manage it in the end. Just seems like very poor engineering. - Joe LA budget friendly alternative to the higher end devices with great performance and battery lifeI picked the WiFi version up in mid March 2025 for my 6 year old during a special after her tablet was cracked in an accident caused by her sister. I got this because its not exactly top of the line but it has a good balance power and performance, and I read many good reviews on it claiming the very same.
When I gave this tablet to my daughter, she was excited. The first thing she noticed was the screen was almost 3 inches bigger than her previous tablet. She was so happy to have a tablet close in size to mine, and from the same company. lol (she's a daddy's girl and Samsung is my thing)
She also noticed that her new tablet is so much faster than her previous tablet. She celebrated by downloading some of her favorite games from the google play store that her last tablet could not run without issue. I opted for the 12 GB ram model, which of you decide to pick one up, you should definitely do the same. It made the entire experience of this tablet so much better and smoother.
The screen has amazing color richness for what I paid. I honestly figured for the price I paid, this was going to be just another washed out, low spec, disposable tablet. So many of the cheaper new tablets you see these days lack in some areas to justify boosts in others. Didn't take long to find out that this was not the case for this one. While you're not going to be playing games like Genshin Impact or CoD Mobile on ultra high settings, you can play most games on medium and a lot on higher settings with ease.
My daughter does not stream movies on her tablet, so widevine support was not one of the specs I worried about when selecting this tablet. If you are into that and need your tablet to stream movies in high resolution, make sure to check the widevine level first. Low support could be a deal breaker for some people.
Battery life seems to be quite good. On a full charge, she can usually get multiple days at a few hours per days before needing to plug in. She uses the tablet for everything from school work, light gaming, and her favorite thing.. searching for the definition of words she hears throughout the day and attempting to use them in sentences. Makes for interesting conversations.. lol
Since this and many tablets and phones these days do not come with chargers, its best to find a decent one with multiple charging speeds starting at the lowest. Thats what I did and the tablet uses the fastest output that is needed for fast charge, you just need to be sure the charger you pick has multiple speeds if you don'tpick up a specific charger from Samsung. I used a 45w charger that clocks all the way down to charge low demand items, like my headphones. That charges my tablet at 45
An additional note: If you decide to get this tablet, be sure to pick up a fast, large capacity Micro SD card. I got myself a Samsung card directly from Samsungs site. I added a Samsung PRO Plus 512 GB microSDXC to my tablet and a 128 to my daughters.
Now, the only thing I can honestly say i do not like about the A9+. The camera.. my daughter thinks its great, but she came from a tablet with a barely functioning camera to the A9+. She is just happy to be able to take pictures that don't look they were taken in the deep end of a swimming pool. lol
Now if your thing is taking a lot of pictures at good quality, this really is not the device for you. But keep in mind, most of these tablets are not focused on camera quality like today's phones. They put most of their R&D into the hardware specs of the tablet and skimp on the camera quality. You want good quality photos in a tablet, you get a newer iPad or Galaxy S9 or S10 series (minus the FE). The S9 FE is a decent tablet, its just that Samsung spent most of that budget on improved hardware related to performance, not camera quality.
