- Epsilon DeltaNot bad for the priceI have a MacBook Air M4 and M5, and the Neo feels a little bit sluggish, just a little bit. So I think I can use it as a second machine. For example, if my M5 is having the video editor compressing some video, I can use the Neo to browse the web, use ChatGPT and Gemini, watch youtube, order things from Amazon. It is a capable machine to do all that.
If it is MacBook Air M5, I am looking at $1099 or $1299, or even $1800 for some configurations, so for this $599 machine, I can't expect too much. Note that after setting up Google Chrome, the SSD has about 65GB used, so 256GB storage is good enough if you don't put a lot of stuff on it, if it is a secondary machine anyway. If you think you may have more stuff, then pay $100 more for the 512GB model.
