- KHalsteadEASY SETUP & CONSISTENT NOTIFICATIONS! If you lose your keys a lot these are a game changer!IMPORTANT: You have to buy the tags that work with your specific brand of phone, i.e. iPhone, Samsung, etc. The tags & app are proprietary to each type of phone and they are available for all of the different types. Just make sure you read the description to make sure you're getting tags for your type of phone.
Review: These work GREAT. The directions were easy to follow, and setup was a breeze. You download an app, that lets you name each tag, which is important that you do name them for what you are using them for, and I tried connecting to all 5 of them, each one connected flawlessly when I turned them on.
The naming feature for each tag is important as I found out. I'd just named them as they came in the package. Tag #1, Tag #2, etc. I then used a few of them to test them out and found when I got notified that I'd left behind Tag #1 behind I had no clue where I'd put that particular tag, I just knew Tag #1! So, I went back into the app and named each tag "PURSE", "KEYS", you get the idea. I'm really impressed with the simplicity of setup and how consistently they are in notifying me when I've left something behind, AND now that I know exactly what it is I've left behind by the tag name LOL! - BuffFanEasy setup, works well, not quite an AirTagStart with the good - very quick and easy setup. Took mere seconds to pair with my phone and have it ready to attach the included key ring to things like luggage, backpacks, put in a car glovebox, etc. You can pull up the "Find my iphone" app and it locates it quickly, can have the thing beep (loudly!) and get directions to it - generally. Which brings me to the lone issue - The "find" part of these tags isn't as precise as a regular Apple Air Tag. ie - I left one at home and went outside. When I try to locate it, it generally identifies it as being inside the house. When you get closer, it still just shows generally inside the house - much like finding your iPhone using another iOS device. With Apple-branded AirTags, you can play the "hot and cold" game and guide you to the exact location of device, down to 1 foot away. Is that an issue? Probably not for most things. You can get close and have it beep and find it that way. If you need super-precise locating for something small, these may not be for you. But for probably 95% of the time these will do the trick, and you can't beat the price. Just got these, so long term in-the-field use opinions are TBD.
- GCJust as good and at a good priceSo far these work as good as AirTags, I get notifications every time they get too far away. I can track them and play a tone to find them. The only issue is that I had to change one of the batteries after only a couple of months. Easy to change. Easy to pair with my phone.
- GSIt works! Research your area and range of signal.I took my 1yr old Vizsla on a hunt, he took off! I was panicked for over an hour. Had it not been for this tracker I would have lost him. He was hiding in a deep brush ravine. One word of caution, he quickly went out of range and I couldn’t pick up a signal. No other hunters had a nearby iPhone to anonymously report his position to the global network. By God’s Grace, I drove a road that got near enough to pick his signal up and enabled me to find him. Although this tracker worked exactly as described and reunited me with my beloved pet, I will be looking for a true gps tracker as we often are in the forest. It was traumatic with a perfect ending.
- Victoria PatinoGreat productThis item locator works perfectly with my iPhone. Setup was very easy and quick and it tracks my keys very accurately. The app is very user-friendly, and I feel much more secure knowing I am able to find my keys and what ever else needs to be tracked. Product seems durable and was a great value for the price. I like that you are able to change the battery and not have to buy new tracking devices. They seem durable to last for quite some time. Excellent product, highly recommend!
- DorindaAre they really any good?I bought these to put in my son’s backpack that carries his laptop.
I’m giving them a 3. No idea why. They paired nicely, alert when it gets too far away (if I have that option on and only if I get close to it, then go away). All had batteries (not sure who didn’t get them. Some say they didn’t) So they appear to be great. BUT they are not current. Sometimes, not all the time, they don’t sync for hours. Sometimes days. So, if the backpack gets lost/stolen I may not be able to immediately locate/track it so that I can retrieve it. As of now, it’s been 5 hours since the sync. My husband’s has been three days.
If it’s an item you plan to keep with you, I believe these will work. For my purpose, not so much. - ScottGreat Knock Off Air TagsI put these on my Cats collar - which was made for the Apple air tags. This was apparently the same size, just as effective, at a third of the cost. Set up was easy.
