- SiloAwesome Pc controllerIf you're looking for a budget-friendly alternative to the official Xbox controller without sacrificing quality, this wired controller is a hidden gem. I picked it up expecting a basic backup for my main setup, but it quickly became my go-to controller. Right out of the box, setup was a breeze. Just plug it into your Xbox or PC and it’s ready to go — no drivers, no syncing, no headaches. It worked instantly on both my Xbox and PC. The cable is surprisingly long, like 10 feet i think, which is a big win. I can sit comfortably on my couch or at my desk without feeling tethered to the console or computer. It’s also thick and well-insulated, so it feels like it’ll last a long time without fraying or wearing out.
The buttons are responsive, the thumbsticks feel smooth and accurate, and the triggers have a satisfying pull. It honestly feels very close to the real thing. Its comfortable during long gaming sessions, and the overall build doesn’t feel cheap at all. For the price, this controller is hard to beat. It’s reliable, easy to use, and does exactly what you need it to. Whether you’re a casual player or need a second controller for multiplayer, this one gets the job done without emptying your wallet. - Marcho ReyesGreat controller, even greater price.I’ve had a few Power A products in the past and I will say they’ve lasted me a good few years. 10/10. This controller works like a charm. Better than I thought. I love the feel and material. It also arrived earlier than I anticipated.
- ChaseHopefully more reliable than Microsoft and PDPUpdate: Eight months later and still no stick drift or bad cables.
-
I bought some of these to replace my Microsoft and PDP controllers which were complete junk.
The Microsoft Xbox One controller lasted about three months before stick drift took over and made it unusable. My old Xbox 360 controllers could have survived a nuclear apocalypse. A complete waste of $70.
The PDP still works but they have a serious flaw when it comes to the USB cord becoming disconnected at the controller side and eventually not working any longer. This happened with all three I own. The PDP also comes with a shorter cord. While they are much cheaper at $25, it's still a waste.
The PowerA doesn't feel as premium as the Microsoft controller but it does have the same length cord and hopefully, doesn't suffer from stick drift so early on or port disconnection issues like the PDP.
Only time will tell and I will update my review accordingly.
Made in China - LukeAfter 1 year still worksI’ve had this controller for almost a year now. Still works great for me. The only thing is the wire has split, but that’s super easy and cheap to replace.
- pancakes21Great Controller, weird behavior on Windows 10TROUBLESHOOTING TIP FOR WINDOWS 10:
I bought and returned 2 of these controllers because I though they were defective. When a 3rd one had the same problem, I got angry and started just mashing buttons. It turns out, Windows and any games on your computer will not recognize the controller (and the light never turns on) unless you press the giant X button at the top-middle of the controller.
So if this seems like a brick when you plug it into your computer, press the X button (the one with the XBOX logo, not the one above the A button.
Hope this helps someone else. - JohnSolid ControllerThis is my 3rd PowerA controller. I've used the Spectra which is now the Lumectra? And I've used the Lumectra. The basic model is pretty light compared to the others because it lacks several features. Look, they're not the best controllers and I wish they start to use hall-effect joysticks like gamesir controllers because eventually they will start to drift. That being said, they will last for a good while and PowerA has good customer support at least in my experience. If you can pick one up on sale its definitely a good buy.
- JuniorMid productGreat product until the usb cord wouldnt keep the controller on (if the controller moves, the power shuts off). I'm disappointed because it was so good at first. I only used it lightly (an hour or 2 every other day, sometimes daily) for about 4 weeks before the cord gave out.
*Edit: I built a second pc and tried the controller again and it worked without a problem. I will update if it doesnt work again, but so far it works as great as when I first got it a few months ago. Great product if it continues to work. - JESÚS ALEXANDER MOLINA GOMEZWorks perfectlyFeels great to have a controller in hands after so many years, this one is really responsive and really comfortable.
