The magnet closure is strong enough so that the case doesn’t feel floppy when you have it open and doesn’t feel super thick. The hand strap and kick stand are really nice. Allowing for more comfort when reading. Case functions really well and is the best case I have had. The material feels high quality and the color choices are great! I have 3 (one for me, my mom and husband). Definitely recommend buying this case over any other I have used. Definitely worth the money.

It has magnets to hold the cover in place and the hand grip and what I call the kickstand are so helpful to hold or rest on a surface to read. The kindle fits in it perfectly and was a great price. Keep in mind that there is another CoBak case available for the 2024 Paperwhite/Colorsoft, and it is definitely not the same as this one. If a back magnet is important to you, be sure to buy this one - which says it's MagSafe compatible.
To be brief, here are my thoughts on this case (specific to the features that are most important to me):
PROS:
- Snap-in holder for the device - it fits well and stays put as it should
- Slim (due to the snap-in holder)
- Has a hand strap and stand (I use the stand as a strap also, which isn't ideal but works fine)
- Has a back magnet
CONS:
- The 'Flowers' print is very slippery - this is a personal preference, so I didn't take any stars off for this
- The front and back magnets could be stronger...but they do work, so it still gets 5 stars
Note: the 'Jade' case does have texture, so I returned the 'Flowers' cover and kept the 'Jade' cover
ADDITIONAL DETAIL:
- The snap-in case means the case is much slimmer than those cases where the device skips behind extra material.
- Back magnet 'just' strong enough to work most of the time. It could be stronger, but it's definitely stronger than every other 2024 Paperwhite case claiming to have a back magnet that I've tried.
- Front magnet could be stronger. Again, it's 'just' strong enough, so there are times when it doesn't 'stick' exactly right and doesn't turn off the Kindle. This isn't a deal breaker since the cover protects the screen from touch and even it it's on, it will eventually time out anyway.
- I didn't purchase the Paperwhite with cordless charging, so I can't report on how this works.
- I only tried the 'Flowers' and 'Jade' prints, so I can't speak to the texture of the other styles for this case
I've tried many of the cases currently available for the new 2024 Paperwhite, and this is the only one I found worth keeping given my preferences in a case. Thankfully, I've found one that meets my needs so I can stop looking! - DakAttackGreat fake leather cover! Small point - doesn't quite auto sleep when cover is closed.This is a great cover that makes the Kindle look and feel like a real book. The material simulates leather very well and just feels good. If you want to hold it with the strap, it is only designed to be held by the left hand. I am a righty, but it still feels okay. I don't think many people will opt to use the strap anyway, and I just hold it like a book with the cover wrapped around behind it. The stand works good for hands-free reading. The cover design is great for me as a man.
I dropped it down to 4 stars due to the misleading advertising claim. The headline calls it PU leather which is intentionally vague. Many people will obviously miss the "PU" before the "leather" claim and think they are buying some type of leather. There is no such thing as leather made out of PU (Poly Urethane). The technical name of the material can be argued, but still... don't try to make sales out of clever wording. I'm happy to buy fake/faux/leather-like leather to get a cheaper price; just be upfront about it.
Kindle unit is supposed to automatically go into sleep mode when the cover is closed. In the dark, I can see the light is still on by looking at the edges when the cover is closed. Since realizing that issue, I just remember to squeeze the cover closed a little bit and that puts it into sleep mode. Maybe the hold-close magnets are just a little weak, or the cover is a little thick. This very small point does not take away any stars whatsoever. - CuanHigher Quality Than ExpectedReally nice looking and feeling case, functional too
