- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.

- Jamie TNo Issues With Card But I Made An Error When Redeeming V-BucksReceived physical card. No issues. But, for those who were unaware (like myself) I logged into the epic game store on my phone to redeem the vbucks card. I’m still unsure if I missed a step, but my intention was to add it to my sons Nintendo switch account. Apparently (through a Google search) there is a way to select that the vbucks get applied to the switch account. I guess I did not do that. So the vbucks were only available on the epic game store account on my mobile. So in order to buy skins or whatever for the Nintendo account, I was only able to purchase on my phone, not directly on the switch in the game store. But, whatever item we purchased became immediately available for my son. He just didn’t have in game access to his vbucks. So user error I suppose. Also, although on the switch when in game, the vbucks are inaccessible, there is sometimes a glitch where the vbucks already preexisting on the switch will combine with the vbucks available on the epic game store. If this happens and you make an error like mine, you can see in transactions that the preexisting vbucks were combined and used with purchases so it didn’t just disappear like we first thought. Hopefully this helps someone and it makes sense.

- Brad RissmanScam, don’t buy.READ BEFORE YOU BUY!!!! Would give 0 if I could. Beware, this gift card will not link up with your Fortnite account on the Nintendo switch. It will keep the funds in an online account that limits what items you can buy in the online shop. You also can’t buy the battle pass with this. It’s basically a scam product for the Switch Console. If you want V-Bucks then buy an actual card that says V-Bucks. Fortnite support is very difficult to get ahold of to try and make work or even attempt a return. Hope this helps a parent looking to buy do a kid as a gift that won’t actually get the things there looking for.
