I'm automatically rating this 5 Stars because of the simple fact that I've finally found a meat substitute. IF IT'S NOT TO MY LIKING, I'LL COME BACK TO CHANGE MY STAR RATING
It has easy to follow instructions.
My body has been rejecting beef, so as of this day, I haven't eaten certain beef in months and ground beef I haven't eaten in years. They keep recalling beef therefore it's not trustworthy to me, so, as long as I can help it, I'm not putting that stuff in my body.
I then switched to ground turkey. Sometimes ground turkey seems to be ok mostly, while a few times I've eaten ground turkey, it makes me want to vomit.
I've also tried ground chicken before, but I didn't like it. The texture for me was a bit tough.
I don't know what's wrong. I don't know if it's just me or is it just the turkey or even if it's actually real ground turkey...I don't know....What am I doing wrong?! All I can say is, I'M TRYING!!! I'm trying to eat the right foods and make the right choices. I haven't made good choices in years with what I put in my body, but recently I've been forced to choose the right foods due to my body rejecting a ton of foods, especially processed foods. I know I know, I had became lazy for a minute, but that's over now, because now I HAVE TO eat all natural, home grown foods if I'm going to eat anything, otherwise I'll be literally screaming in pain.
Anyway, I opened up my package because I was excited. This bag is HUGE! I purchased the bundle. I don't know why I thought that if I got the bundle, that I'd get 2 packs of these Hearty Plant Protein Crumbles, the second pk was just the beef flavoring. I think the bundle was misleading. Idk how I'll feel about beef flavor. It's been years since I've had any beef flavored foods.
It's affordable, the price was great!!!!
I haven't tried it out yet, but I can't wait to try it out.
I read a comment that said, it tastes exactly like chicken and you can't even tell it's plant based, so I'm thinking PERFECT!!!
The first thing I want to try out, with my plant based crumbles, is tacos...oh I just have to do the taco test. The tacos they had in the picture that was made with these crumbles looked mouthwateringly delicious. - Randy R.Great vegetable protein product at a good priceReally great vegetable protein product, I always add some liquid smoke, seasonings, and sauces in with the hot water to rehydrate the vegetable protein and the flavor soaks in and the flavor cannot be beat. I buy the bulk package and divide it down into gallon ziplock bags, to make it a lot easier to store in the pantry and this product will last a long time in the pantry if you don't use it everyday, but I have subscribed to auto deliveries so I never run out because I use the vegetable protein products every single day to replace the meat ingredients in everything I cook. Great taste, texture, easy to rehydrate and cook with, and even more filling than using actual meat, and considering the price of meat these days a better value than trying to keep meat in the freezer.
- BeatlesfanExcellent protein boostAs a vegan/whole food plant based, I appreciated the added protein that these provide. The hydrate quickly, absorb whatever flavor you add, bulk up not only protein but also satiety, and add a crumbled meat-like texture that goes beautifully in many dishes like tacos, chili, stir fry, soups, etc. Even though this is rather expensive, it's still healthier and cheaper than meat and it doesn't take a lot to enhance a meal.

- StefanGood plant based proteinVery versatile and easy to use. Only downside is that you will taste peas unless you season the dish properly. I will usually reconstitute it with vegetable broth. My favorite recipe with this is stuffed peppers.

The texture is a bit 'gummy' and there is no way to really crisp/firm it up. Generally flavorless which is helpful as you can add your own spices to go with any recipe. Overall not bad.
- RetTexture is ????A big improvement over the TVP I grew up with. The pieces are nicely sized. Texture is great. It hydrates quickly. The taste isn't bad prior to being flavored. The only downside is it's a bit pricey, unless you buy in bulk.
