- Janna HarrisBest NA option out there.Starting to switch from alcohol to non-alcohol drinks. I've tried the NA beer and the NA cocktails. I really like hiyo because it is light & enjoyable and doesn't taste like a fake cocktail.
I don't really get the "float" they talk about. I've tried shaking it, flipping it, pouring into a glass, etc but I still don't get the affect they talk about. Either way, I still really enjoy these drinks. And at 30 calories, I don't feel bad drinking them. - The Unmarried FatherI highly recommend and here's whyThese are my absolute favorite non-alcoholic drink... After a long day at work sitting down on the couch and having two of these will put you at ease. Will make you feel like the world isn't that bad.
They make you feel just as good as alcohol does besides you're not drunk. No hangovers great sleep.
I can't wait for these to be cheaper and easier to get.
I wish these were at my local grocery.
I highly recommend you try these - APSocial TonicLiked this organic social tonic. Usually feel relaxed after 2 can haven't had the need to drink 3 cans. Sometimes 2 can does the trick to feel relaxed. Great substitute, and tasty non alcoholic drink.
- DeeDeeBeeRefreshing, uplifting, but pricey and watermelon lime isn’t my favoriteI really enjoy Hiyo Organic Social Tonic for its crisp, sparkling flavor and lightly fizzy texture. 3 each of the 4 flavors. I’m trying to stay away from alcohol but still want a little euphoric, uplifting feeling, and this fits the bill perfectly. The variety pack is fun, though I would love to try some of the other flavors not included. My only minor gripe is that the watermelon lime flavor isn’t my favorite — a bit too tart for me. The product is on the pricey side, but I usually only have one or two socially. The ingredients are carefully chosen and feel special, making it worth it for me. Overall, I’d recommend it if you want a flavorful, functional sparkling beverage that feels unique and enjoyable.
- Holly RHI-YO that’s goodThe flavors are really great in taste! They taste sweet but not overly sweet. Great for someone watching their sugars. I love the design and the cost isn’t too terrible. It’s light and not heavy like some competitors.
- AdamBright, refreshing, and surprisingly calmingI think these are some of the best functional drinks that don't have alcohol in them. Every flavor in the variety pack is fresh, slightly sweet, and really good—there's nothing fake or syrupy about them. The adaptogens help you relax without making you sleepy, so it's great for winding down or replacing an evening drink.
The cans look great, the flavors are different, and the whole thing has a positive, smooth feel to it. This is a great choice if you want to cut back on drinking but still have fun and feel good. - MaryRelaxing but no floatingI really was excited about using this product as I’ve been trying to find alternatives to alcohol or thc drinks. Something to give that a little of that vibe, but still be in control and not feel poorly the next day.
I felt no float. I felt no buzz. I felt no vibes. I did feel relaxed - but I feel just s as relaxed when I consume a hot cup of tea. There’s a chance it could just be me - I’m sure like everything else, some people are more “reactive” to the ingredients than others.
Decent taste. Very refreshing. Not too sweet. Does have that seltzer taste but not overly like a seltzer, which I was satisfied with since I’m not a huge fan of seltzers. - A reviewerThe BEST "Functional Seltzer" Out There -- Still With MAJOR Room for ImprovementThis product is my absolute favorite "functional" alcohol substitute thus far. Caveats: it will not leave you feeling "buzzed," even if you slam 4 of the cans in an hour or so, but the subtle feeling of calm and relaxation is palpable, pleasant and worthwhile, especially as an athlete who cannot afford the metabolic cost of alcohol consumption. Granted how much I like it, there is BIG room for improvement IMO, and it looks like this. #1. It's expensive. Almost 4 bucks a can, a stick pack version would be welcome at $2/per, as I will easily go through 2 of these a day during the evening while fasting to help offset the sensations of food deprivation, for which this product is very useful. #2. Speaking of fasting, the 30 cals/can is really silly when the sucrose used to sweeten it (it's not even sweet) could be easily replaced by stevia. As it stands, this is how I prepare it -- a can in a shaker bottle with a good dash of stevia. So, the added sugar does nothing good IMO, and should be replaced with stevia, monkfruit, or whatever else. #3. Salt. Adding a dash of salt to this completes it, from both a health and taste perspective, along with the stevia. Salt assists with the utilization of the actives in the CNS tissue, helps to replenish electrolytes (esp. important in active populations), and makes it taste much better. #4. Something could be done to make the relaxing effect stronger without worry of too many unpleasant side effects. I'm not sure what that looks like, whether it would be adding kanna, kava, or something else, but that itself would make this an A+ product. That is all, no doubt I will continue to use, as I feel it helps me to relax, sleep better, focus in the evenings, and be there when food cravings hit during fasts.
