- rocknrickworks well; MERV 8 recommended by HVAC contractorI used to buy high MERV home air filters, but I recently hired an HVAC contractor to do a check up of my equipment. He specificially recommended MERV 8 as the higher MERV filters that I had been using are more taxing on the blower equipment (in my attic). I don't know what others think about this advice, but it made sense to me. I change these filters about once every 8 months. They have served me well and do not negtively impact air flow. They also fit perfectly in my 20x24 air filter holder. Finally, they are well priced and end up costing me less than going out and purchasing from a brick and mortar.

- CraftHerGood value!I purchased these filters for my college-age child who rents a home with some friends. The previous tenants were using the least expensive ones possible and had not changed them regularly. Seeing how my child has allergies, I figured I would purchase something better. Merv 11 is a nice compromise, offering enough filteration to keep many pesky parties out of a system. My child reported that these fit as expected. This 6-pack should last most of the 1 year lease.

They last for as long as you need them to. And when you change them, there hardly dirt. The only ones I'll buy. Not expensive and very well worth your money.
