strips cost one third of my previous strips

seems to be very accurate

InsightsReliable and Consistent Test Strips.I have been using these Ascensia Contour Next blood glucose test strips for a few years and they have always given me accurate and consistent readings. The strips work smoothly with the meter, making daily testing quick and simple. Out of hundreds of uses, only one strip ever failed, which shows their reliability. The 70-count pack is a convenient size for frequent monitoring and offers good value. Overall, they are a dependable choice for anyone managing diabetes.
- H. LangeGreat value, even better convenienceI've been using the Contour Blood Glucose test meter for over seventeen years, and test my blood at least eighteen times a week. You can't beat the quality; I may have had one in every 250 of these test strips fail. I've never received a box with less than 11 months before they were set to expire. I started out purchasing these test strips with a prescription seventeen year ago, and they always seemed to cost more than purchasing them myself. Setting up a Subscribe & Save subscription reduced the price below what I was paying for a prescription, and you can't beat the convenience of having them delivered. I occasionally check at the local grocery store and the price with tax is comparable with the online price plus tax, and as I said before, you can't beat the convenience.

Do NOT get the Precision Xtra. The problem isn't with that meter, but with the strips it uses. Not every strip pack with that one comes with a calibrator strip. This Contour Next does not need a calibrator strip, so any additional purchases of strips will be usable.
Great tool! A+ ! - Dave GibbsUnusual outlier readings occasionallyI have monitored my blood sugar as a routine for years. I picked up the Contour system as I was transitioning to the Apple Health Kit eco system as the Contour system is Bluetooth capable and will automatically populate the Apple system with the readings. I have noticed that there will be random and very occasional "outlier" readings that don't fit with the established patterns of my readings over time. My numbers run in the 90's prior to eating and a 105-115 level at various times after eating and sometimes around the 120's if I have been enjoying rich food and alcohol which is not as a general rule. There have been random readings pop up with this Contour system in the 150's and it has been early in the day prior to taking on many calories. One can only wonder if there is some sort of deficiency with the system.

- JiMust buy from AmazonI bought the machine from Walmart years ago for my mom, and this stuff sells at a higher amount individually in big brand name stores like Walmart, CVS, Rite Aid, and others. I found this on Amazon is cheaper and more testing strips. The test results are within the same range like what I purchased from those big brand name stores. It's a must buy every time from Amazon when this stuff is running low.
