- Travis S.Get this for your drones for any type of areaFolds up really nicely for use in a photography backpack. Large enough that you don't have to be absolutely perfect during landing. Do wish that maybe it weighed a little more just to help on windy days. It does have tie downs, but a little extra weight would eliminate the need for them on very windy days.

- David BakeGood Landing PadOverall, this STARTRC PHOTO drone landing pad is solid, but there are a couple of details worth noting. First—and most importantly—the size is not quite what’s advertised. The pad I received measures 21.5", not 22". That may not seem significant, but accuracy matters, and the listing should reflect the true dimensions.
That said, the pad is priced in line with similar products and includes grommets and small stakes, which are helpful for securing it in grass or dirt. The main downside for me is that it’s noticeably lighter than some of my other landing pads. On windy days, lighter pads can easily catch air and fold up or blow away, especially on surfaces where stakes can’t be used—like concrete, asphalt, or the roof of my car, which I use quite often. However, if you pack your pad around a lot, you may want a lighter pad, so this could be a plus in your book. There is a fine balance between light enough to carry and too light to stay in place.
Despite these quirks, it still performs well and offers protection from sand, long grass, and debris. it is easy to clean and easy to use. At its actual 21.5" size, it functions just fine for my Mini 5 Pro and Mini 4 Pro, is easy to fold and unfold, and for that reason I still give it 4 stars. - OBSSDGreat accessory for mini dronesLanding pads like this are a must-have for the sub-250g and other small-sized drones without much ground clearance to their propellers and gimbals. This landing pad works great for my Potensic Atom 2 and feels like it should outlast my drone if I don't abuse it. The panels are stiff enough to hold a much heavier drone and the unfolded size is large enough to land on in less-than-ideal conditions (it also provides a nice, clear area to lay out some other equipment while preparing to fly). Mine measured about 21.5" square and folded down to about 7.5x11" and 0.5-0.75" thick, depending on how hard you compress it. The included bag is only a little longer than the folded pad, so the drawstring will only partially close, leaving plenty of room for the stakes to fall out.
The pad is easy to deploy and can also be folded one-handed if you're stuck holing your drone in the other. I haven't needed the stakes yet, but it's nice to have them if trying to set up on uneven grass or leafy surfaces - or to keep the pad from blowing away. The heads of the stakes are easy to grab and pull without sticking up too high for propellers. As you can see from the photos, the blue side is a bright stand-out against both lawn and gravel - and the large, high-contrast logo provides a nice target when landing (though the blue washes out in the camera until you get closer). - ScottExactly what I was looking for.I was looking for a mat to use with my FPV drone, to take off from and land on when flying at parks or anywhere that might be muddy, dirty, grassy ect. I was looking for a mat that folded up nicely, was visible and decent sized but not too bit that it was a nuisance to pack up and take with me. I also wanted something that felt durable and more rigid than floppy, and again something that was foldable and compact still.
This was it. No complaints and very happy with it. It comes with four stakes as well which was a nice add on but I’ll most likely never use the stakes. There are stake holes as well on the pad corners. Material also seems water repellant, so cleaning this with a quick wipe down works.
