- RICH WARNThis is a no brainer. Opens up endless possibilities.So I bought a DJI Neo with no intention of buying a remote control. I intended on just using my phone to control it or the selectable patterns on the drone. The patterns were fun for a day or so. Then I flew it with my phone and immediately found out that the range was garbage. I have a huge lake right in front of my house and I couldn't dare to fly my drone out over it for fear that I would lose connection and it would just sit there until the battery died and it plunged to its death.
So I got this remote and man. It took my flying from kindergarten to college level. Not only did I fly over the entire lake multiple times, on another flight I flew so far away from my house that I couldn't even see my drone anymore. I had to hit return to home on the remote. And let me just say that unless I had this remote return to home wouldn't have even been an option.

The ability for you to remap the controls to suit your needs is a HUGE PLUS it has going for it!!! (I fell prey to a crippling stroke over three years ago and lost the use of my right hand; I moved the most-used functions of my DJI Neo to the left stick and I fly like a champ; I've already begun to use my proprioception (muscle memory) while manipulating the remote).
