- LenaGood Beginner Telescope for Moon Gazing - Instructions Could Be ClearerThe Hexeum 70mm/500mm telescope is a solid choice for beginners interested in astronomy and nature. Assembly was fairly simple, though the instructions could be more detailed.
I've used it a few times now for stargazing and observing the moon, and the lunar views are impressive – the details are beautiful! My only issue is that finding the moon in the telescope's view can be a bit challenging at times.
Overall, despite the learning curve in locating objects, this telescope offers great views, especially of the moon. It's a worthwhile beginner telescope if you're eager to explore the night sky and the world around you. Just be prepared for potentially vague setup instructions and a little practice in finding your targets. - Pam BrownLight weight TelescopeGreat and light weight. Light enough to take on hikes or anywhere for that matter!!! Love the carrying bag to keep everything together and room enough to add extra items. Will update after first use!!!!!!!
- CRGreat beginner telescopeThis is a great beginner telescope. Very easy to assemble. Easy to carry and move around. Was able look at the moon with great detail, image was very good. The adjustment was very good. Would buy again.
- JordanGreat Telescope for Beginners, Quality Could Be BetterI purchased the HEXEUM 70mm Aperture 500mm telescope for casual stargazing, and overall, I’m happy with it. The telescope is easy to assemble, and the included accessories—like the phone adapter and wireless remote—make it fun to capture images of the moon and planets. The optics are clear for the price point, and it’s a good entry-level option for kids and beginners.
The main reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the build quality. The materials feel a bit lightweight and less sturdy than expected, especially the tripod. It works fine, but it’s clear this isn’t a professional-grade telescope. Still, for the price, it does its job well and offers a great introduction to astronomy.
If you’re looking for an affordable telescope for basic celestial observations, this is a solid choice! - ozzyFun for campingGreat easy to use for the kids
- Ricardo ValadezThe Moon at my view reach! This telescope was a huge success as a gift for my daughter. She was absolutely thrilled and immediately excited to start observing. Seeing her face light up while she was looking through it—especially at the stunning detail of the moon—made it completely worthwhile.
The only minor note is that adult assistance was definitely needed to assemble it, but once it was set up, it was smooth sailing! A great purchase for any young budding astronomer. - Gina devitoMy telescopeAbsolutely ???? fantastic, I can see the moon so clearly
- Mare TranquillitatisGreat Beginner Telescope to Adults and KidsI purchased this telescope for my nephew who is enamored with space and astronomy. He was delighted when he unwrapped the gift and realized it was a telescope. Being an amateur astronomy buff myself, I helped my nephew's father assemble the scope. The assembly process is quite straightforward and the fact that there is a phone adapter to capture the night sky was a great bonus. The adapter was easy to connect, but we did have to spend a couple of minutes to adjust it so that the camera lens lined up with the eye piece. Since the telescope doesn't have a servo motor to track the images across the sky (his next telescope), it does take time to find a good sky object and make sure that the camera is steady enough to take the shot of the image. This is where I believe there is one area that can be improved on this product, and that is the tripod stand. The manufacturer can make this a bit more robust and add some mass to it so that it doesn't wobble as much, especially since younger kids are less gentle with their telescopes and other instruments than older kids or young adults. It is easy to knock the telescope over or inadvertently move it just after spending some time to center on a sky object. Overall, however, it is a good beginner scope and my nephew and his father are spending several evenings each week gazing at the night sky through it.
