- Amazon CustomerA must have for my migraines and loud work environmentI wear these (and my quiets) every single day and I absolutely love them. I'm going to eventually buy a backup pair to leave at work because the idea that I may accidentally leave these at home gives me anxiety lol
They're incredibly comfortable (try every single ear tip size!) and extremely discreet. And I can add a great deal more db reduction (equivalent to the quiets) with the little mute. Before I got my quiets I've even slept in the engages and I'm a side sleeper. While it wasn't *the* most comfortable night time earplugs experience, it wasn't unbearable. I just made myself not put as much pressure on my ear (I gathered up a blanket and positioned it in such a way that my ear didn't emoosh against the pillow.)
The only gripe I have about the actual product is that they don't come in more colors. I do prefer the clear ones for work, but when I wear them out to events (bingo night!) I really want to have them look like jewelry to match my 7 earrings in my ears. I'd absolutely love a rose gold, and painting them isn't an option because I don't want to accidentally block the little chamber lol. I know there are the experience ones, but I don't need more occlusion/db reduction at these events so I haven't gotten them.
Speaking of gripes - this isn't the fault of the product but it's just the way that earplugs work...even though these ones aren't totally occlusive, they still make it sound weird when I talk. It took me about a week to get used to it and I still can't sing along with the music at work because I'm way too loud to myself and it sounds weird...but the benefits far outweigh that to me. I've tried products like the flare calmers and while they help with general overstimulation they offer zero db reduction so they don't do it for me in loud environments such as my job. I do still use them in other situations, though. Just not when volume is part of the issue.
Ok now that that's out of the way, I'll expand on how these are helping me in hopes that it gives someone else the info they need in order to decide whether they want to spend the money on them.
I feel obligated to mention that these are *not* designed to protect your ears from significant noise levels such as gunshots or heavy machinery. I know they're not advertised as such, but I feel that it's responsible to add this in my review.
So, I work at a restaurant and I have noise sensitivity and chronic migraines. The noise level at work is unbearable at times (too loud but not dangerously so) between the music, the hood vent, the fryers, all of the customers, the clinking and clanking of metal cookware and all the buzzing of the appliances. It drives me mad and makes my head pain even more intense.
The breaking point was one day when the person in charge had the music up a little bit too loud and I nearly lost my mind within the first 10 minutes of my shift. I'd had these on my wishlist for a while but I literally purchased them on my break so I could have them the next day.
When I tell you that with these in it melts away all of the annoying buzzing and whirring of the appliances! I can't even hear when the water is running (so I have to be careful that I don't overfill the sink when I walk away for a second while it's filling up lol). The clinking and clanking doesn't feel like it's piercing into my soul. The music isn't too loud. AND I can still hear the customers speaking to me very clearly! It only affects me being able to hear people talking if they're quiet talkers or are mumbling, which to be fair that isn't very easy to hear over the ruckus without the loops. All I have to do is adjust my level of concentration when I'm not looking at someone when they're speaking. So it does take some getting used to but it's not something that can't be learned.
It's also reduced my migraine intensity. It used to be that if my head started to hurt while at work it would progressively get more painful for the entire day until I finally got home and things are much quieter. Now, when I start to get head pain it plateaus at a point and doesn't continue to increase. This has greatly improved my quality of life while at work.
Also when I am having head pain and extra migraine-induced noise sensitivity at home I can wear these and still be able to hear everything around me. I can even use them and listen to an audiobook at the normal volume and be able to hear everything perfectly, if a bit quieter (which is what I want during a migraine)
Now, can I just get some of these for my eyes? LOL (seriously, though fl41 migraine tint for glasses is a life saver!)
I carry these babies everywhere and I recommend them to anyone with noise sensitivity. My coworker bought some last week and she loves them! I got them as a birthday present for my best friend and she's incredibly happy with them! I can't recommend them enough.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the case. It's fine. Nothing to call home about. I don't trust it by itself, so I crocheted a little pouch to put it in. I've heard that the version 2 cases are more secure, but I don't trust my comfort and sanity to a piece of plastic alone lol you can alternatively buy some of those small, round headphones zipper pouches to put it in. I don't trust the metal cases with the screw-on lid, either. I carry my daily meds in one and am very familiar with just how easily it works itself open. - emilyGoodI purchased these to use at my son‘s baseball and wrestling tournaments. I needed something that would help me not be overstimulated by the end of these events. These did the trick. It’s a sensation that is hard to explain, I can still hear, but more comfortably? It makes the sounds more muffled where it’s actually almost soothing. Everything is the same volume. I can still hear people talk to me, and I can talk back to them without hearing myself. They fit nicely in my ears. They don’t hurt my ears. They’re easy to put in my ears and remove without hurting or breaking. They’re a good quality. It would take a lot to break them. And it’s nice because they come with different size ear inserts so you can test out which size fits you best. I have taken naps with these on. I am a side sleeper and I toss and turn and they have not fallen out of my ears. I have eaten with these in And I don’t annoyingly hear myself chew and I don’t fall out. Great for the price. Great for long wearing without hurting your ears. They come with a nice carrying case so you don’t lose them. Easy to clean works very well. Stay in place and the perfect little size that they’re not even noticeable Totally recommend.

I wish I bought them sooner helps me concentrate, be a better mother, not get so agitated with noise. They are comfortable. They have different size to fit your ear canal. They are very easy to clean. They are very functional and can help in a wide variety of situations.
- Rachel WGood quality noise reducing ear plugs.First, I like the way these look when you’re wearing them. I ordered the clear Loops because I was intending to wear these at work, and I didn't want them to be easily noticeable and these are definitely not noticeable unless you are close up. I have no issues with these staying in my ears while I’m wearing them. The quality of the ear plugs is great, I like that it is one solid piece and also that you get a variety of tip sizes to choose from. These are always in my purse, the Loops case is small which makes them perfect to carry with you. I get very overstimulated by loud environments, such as crowded rooms or busy stores. When I get overstimulated I get irritable and I ordered these in hopes that I could go to hockey games or to the mall without getting overstimulated and in turn having a bad experience or a panic attack. These have helped me enjoy public places again, but to an extent. These do help reduce the ambient noise, but if it gets quiet when I have them in I can hear myself breathing or if my hair brushes against the ear plugs and I have to take them out. I work at a school in the office, and I use these every time we have a drill. When we have a drill I have to go and check certain parts of the school, and some of them (cafeteria specifically) are deafening. The Loops effectively reduce the high pitched alarm sound that would otherwise be deafening. I do notice that I do speak a little louder than I normally would while wearing these. I have to have the Loops when this is happening at work. The Loops are also effective when the office is busy and everyone seems to be talking over each other. I also attached an AirTag to the loop on the case. The case is small, and I was concerned I would misplace it and not be able to find it (obviously if the ear plugs are not in the case this doesn’t help much. I just make a point to always put the ear plugs back in the case as soon as I take them out). I would recommend these to anyone who gets overstimulated by sound/noise, they truly have helped me more than other things I have tried. I have had these for about 4 months. I wanted to use them in as many different situations as I possibly could so I could give the best and most accurate review possible.
